"Mohammed we did respond. The roof had Ice Dams during the few days when several other people were experiencing the same issues. Once the weather warmed up and melted the ice dams the leaks stopped. Once again as we explained and showed you examples describing the ice dam issue online to assist you in further understanding what causes ice dam leaks while we were your home. As you understood after viewing the phootos and descriptions online there is nothing we are able to do to have prevented the ice dams from forming or leaking through the roof which was properly installed. I am surpirised of your response here stating that you would not call us again since when we were at your home you asked us to come back and remove a heating vent pipe which you are no longer using after recently installing a new heating system. Which we also discussed may be contributing to heat loss in the attic and causing the ice dams due to lack of proper insulation in your attic. We then agreed to come back in the spring and remove the vent pipe, install plywood to the opening, and shingle the spot to match the new roof. We agreed to do this for you at no cost because we felt compassionate about the leaks you experienced although they were not due to any issues with the roof. Rather the ice dams were caused by the warm day sun melting the snow on the roof and then refreezing as the water ran down under the snow on the roof. We will still remove the vent pipe at no charge as agreed upon in light of the derragatory comments left here. Key points: The roof has not leaked for 10 months since it was installed and since the ice dams melted it has not leaked again. Ice Dams were the cause of the leaks not any issues with the installation of the roof. Customer has asked us to come back in the spring and remove a heating vent pipe no longer being used due to the recent installation of a new heating system. We agreed to do this work at no charge as a gesture of good faith in light of the unfortunate occurence they had experienced from the ice dams."
