Chris Prince Fencing

Chris was courteous and professional. He installed a chain linked fence for our dog. After about a year, the lock on the fence wasn’t functioning. I contacted him and he fixed the fence in a timely manner. We would hire him again.

We weren't really sure what we wanted and Chris Prince was kind of annoyed by that. Very nice if you know what you are looking for.

Short version first: Chris is only responsive when he's trying to get a contract signed. After that, it's delays, lies, excuses, more delays, more lies, more excuses, etc, etc. I was only able to get my job completed (well, almost completed) after demanding my deposit back and this was after a 2 month delay in starting my job. He never finished the job properly until one year later, which was to replace a gate upright that broke due to his self-admitted bad installation (after reporting the damage, he said he was afraid it might happen so I'm not sure why he did it that way). he owes me one working light cap which I'm sure I will never get. Long (but still not overly drawn out) version: Chris was very communicative until he got his quote. My job was set for end of Nov 2014 but he figured it would be a couple weeks sooner. Then the excuses began. After no word from him on the original start date, the job was pushed back to mid Dec. via email due to weather. With no word and return of my calls, I sent an email 2 days before the new start date to which he replied that he would call me back. I received no call but instead an email saying next week would work better. Another week passes and we're now in Jan, which is starting to look like bad weather i coming. He then wanted to see if we could do it in the spring, but I was not going to let him sit on 40% payment until then, especially not when I was initially told this would not be a problem and he could do it well before the cold. It was at this point that Chris would ignore my voice mails or emails for days on end where all I wanted was to know if the jobw as ever really going to start. The excuses were bad weather (weather was fine to this point), hung-over crew, sick dog, brother injured putting up woodpecker nests,unexpected slowness and lack of funds, waiting on a bank loan, etc, etc. long story short, I felt pretty foolish for hanging on so long. I eventually got him on the line and asked for my deposit back. He said he would refund me but could also do the job in the next week if I wanted. I gave one last show of faith and said yes. The job ended up happening after the real cold started, so they needed to jack hammer through the ice. i didn't know it until after the spring, but the materials called for 2 bags of cement per post. Chris only used half a bag per post and a full back on the gate posts. My gate ended up having a crack on the upright where the strike post attached. this caused the post to start falling out. When I went to reattach, I noticed there were many holes there. I told Chris this and he said he was afraid this would happen (then why attach it that way?). He told me to contact him in the spring. in the meantime, he put a sloppy replacement on. Chris also owed me two solar caps, which he would handle in the spring. Spring came and I contacted Chris. Chris did a great job for a fair price. My wife and I love the fence. He responded quickly to every one of my inquiries. Once the job commenced, he was there everyday until the job was completed. I would highly recommend.

Very,very hard to work with this guy, he can't be found, does not answer to phones/ text , make promises all the time, and then excuses about why he did not do as promised, or why he could not warn you that he would not do this on time, he did not finish the job, I'm chasing him for 2 months already , and im getting tired chasing him down. every week he promise he will finish the job, and he is no show. his orders got mixed up, so he got some parts a month late, and then it happened again when he had to order more parts, he built a gate that is not leveled, I'm trying to get him to fix it for two months, the fence is protecting a pool (very important that no kids / pets can go under it and enter the yard, so he left the fence above the ground in some areas that pets / kids can go in, this was known ahead of time, and we agreed he will close it when he will build the fence, again 2 months trying to get him to finish it,

I contacted Chris after seeing a job he/his team did in Reading that I was impressed with. Chris was quick to respond to my call, come out for a quote and his follow up along the way was timely. This summer I've been doing many projects at home while working with many contractors and he is the ONLY ONE who has shown up when he said he would and got the job done in the time-frame quoted. (And he/his team did a good job on the project overall)! I would recommend them to anyone that asked.

Chris and his crew are very professional we got our white vinyl fence a week before our original date for install that was great!!! And I got mulitable quotes from all other local companies no one could beat his price Thank You! Guys

Constant stalls and delays. A simple fence that was supposed to be done by the end of April took until nearly mid June. Was told multiple times that they would be there only to get a call later saying they were delayed again. This happen nearly a dozen times.

Had a new vinyl fence for my corner yard done. Two gates and an arbor entry. Chris takes a lot of pride in his work and the fence looks amazing. One hiccup to ensure the site was cleaned properly but we talked it through. Would definitely recommend this company.

I hired Chris but then we got socked with snow, so the actual work has not been done as yet. My rating is based on his customer service, attention to detail, patience in explaining the options, and the "more than fair" quote with which I ultimately went. I'm confident the fence will be installed as soon as the ground is clear, and the work will be upstanding and long lasting.

Chris uses very strong materials. I expect this fence to withstand years of use.

I received quotes from a few companies and Chirs's quot was competitive. I needed an extra panel replaced as it was covered by bushed when Chris first came out to look at the job. Chris incorporated into the job with no problems. I had a deadline to get the fence installed and Chris worked with me to make sure my deadline was met.

Chris is very personable and easy to communicate with. He was prompt in reviewing the project and he and crew handled the difficult terrain very well. I highly recommend Prince fencing for your fencing project.

I solicited quotes from a number of fence companies, and from the get go, Chris Prince was the most responsive and most professional. Chris's quote was extremely competitive. One competing fencing company went so far as to say that I could ask 100 other fencing companies and they would not match Chris's quote. He was wrong, as one other company did match Chris's quote, but Chris won the job because of his responsiveness and professionalism, all of which continued even after we engaged him to do the work. I'd recommend him 100 times over. Fence looks amazing.

I hired Chris to tear down our old wooden fence and replace with a vinyl privacy one. I got quotes from both small and large fence companies. Chris's price wasn't the absolute lowest, but very competitive. However, Chris went above and beyond in making sure all of my questions were answered and followed up many times. Most just tried to offer the cheapest fence to get the lowest price. Chris worked with us to show all of the options and to ensure we found one we would love. We definitely do! His crew was very good, professional and cleaned up. Could not ask for more. Very happy!!!!!
