Do not hire! At first, everything was fine. No real setbacks before the pour except postponing for a day which was fine and the contractor (Chris Tello) informed is in plenty of time. All looked fine during the pour (Tuesday) and we had no reason to expect anything but a good turn out. Chris had asked for 50% of his bid down and the remaining 50% upon completion which is standard. As it turned out, the work began without the contractor asking for the first 50%. He left the job to two of his workers who seemed to know what they were doing. After the pour was completed and the crew were spraying off the top (it was to have an exposed aggregate finish), Chris came to the site. He asked if there was anywhere he could dispose of the leftover slurry which I felt was strange as I specifically asked about clean up when we first met. I know how messy a concrete job gets. In his bid, he stated that he would clean up. I shrugged this off and we both agreed on a discrete area where the slurry could be dumped. He then asked for payment and that was fine as he hadn't asked earlier. My biggest mistake was paying him the full amount. I did this as the majority of the job was done so I figured that it would be somewhat petty to pay half at the time. Chris let as his crew finished up. When they were done, I was somewhat dismayed at the level of finish of the pour as well as the complete lack of clean up. They said all is well, that the concrete was curing and that Chris would be back the following morning, presumably to clean up. Morning came and went and we heard nothing. As the day was ending and still no communication from Chris, I called him to let him know that we had problems with the pour and clean up and he said he'd be by to pick up the forms and survey the job. He showed up late Wednesday and got his forms and listened as I went over all of the problems with the unacceptable work and said that we needed to come up with a plan of action to make this right. He said that he would be by the next day (Thursday). No show on Thursday and no communication. This is when our worry meter went up as we could see that it was a very unacceptable pour (several deep pock marks and quite a bit of surface where the topcoat was not washed off). Also, the final washing of the top surface should have been done with a power washer but they instead used only a garden hose. In addition, the area including the courtyard were the pour was and beyond on our front porch and walk , was in disarray and completely uncleaned. There was concrete on our walls, windows, door and frame and concrete runoff and footprints on our adjoining porch and existing concrete walkway beyond. Some of the leftover sludge was the gummy residual of the chemical used to prevent a quick hardening of the top surface of the concrete so the aggregate can be exposed by washing it with water. We have not been successful in removing those stains. I called Chris again on Friday after another no-show day and he said he he got tied up and would be by Saturday morning after he set his crews up for their jobs of the day. Not hearing from him by Saturday afternoon, I texted Chris and again stated that we need to work on a solution to remedy the situation. What I received in return was a basic nasty-text with a buzz off tone. I am being generous in relating that message from Chris. Bottom line is we were let to clean up ourselves which took several days of exhaustive power washing, digging up slurry and carting it off, cleaning, sanding and repainting our door and wood window trim, scrubbing the stone wall of the splattered concrete and deciding to see what we would do with the slurry dump (mentioned earlier) the Chris poured in a different area than we discussed. I would be happy to share photos and the text thread should anyone be interested. I would strongly advise everyone to stay away from Te...

They do good work, but their communication needs a lot of improvement. They say they are going to be here and do not show up, or say they are going to Home Depot to pick up a part, and 2 hours later they are not back, etc. They also take your money and donot complete the job.
