About us

Christensen Builders is a locally-owned family business. Scott, Cody, Waylon are the primary craftsman, Mary is the creative influence, and enjoys applying wood and wall finishes and Jessica manages online sales via Facebook. Scott’s roots as an entrepreneur started at the age of 12 when his father bought him a woodworking router and a few sign making templates. He sold and crafted address signs to his neighbors. He worked in the family cabinet business starting at age 14, and then went on to be a timber faller and started a custom home business at age 19. By age 25 Scott and Mary had 3 children (Waylon, Cody & Jessica), and Scott decided to take a shot at at corporate path working as commercial construction based in San Diego, Las Vegas and Manhattan. Scott worked on a variety of commercial construction projects ranging from under $5million to over $3billion, and over his year career, he has experienced all aspects of large and smaller scale construction projects.

Scott Christensen, came and gave us a cost and took 750.00 deposit and that was on July 23, 2019 now it is June 25, 2020. and I have not got Scott to call me or email me and I am out 750.00. So I had to look for someone new. I did request my 750.00 back but have not heard from Scott.

Scott made a great first impression. He was on time for the estimate, cared about the project, and took interest in our home. UNFORTUNATELY that did not carry through. We were given a start date for the project on four different occasions but as each date approached, the start date was changed or ignored! Communication has been sporadic at best. As a result of all of this, we asked for our deposit back. Scott said yes, but he still has not returned it even though he agreed he would. When we initially signed the contract, he said he would be out in three weeks to start. This problem has been going on for over five months.

We are beyond satisfied with the job that Scott and his crew did with our deck. Professional from my first meeting and continued to build upon that throughout the entire project. Skilled carpenters that take pride in their craft while providing excellent client care along the way.

Scott is a true professional and quite trustworthy. We ran into an unexpected problem when they were doing repairs our porch. He explained everything needing to be done and did not take advantage of the situation. Everyone on his crew are also true professionals with a high work ethic. The end result couldn't have been better. It was exactly what I was hoping for. It's hard to find a good contractor, but I feel Christensen Builders are the best of the best! I would recommend them in a minute to anyone, and will go back to them for my next project.
