Fred and team worked really hard on our garage and it turned out great! I appreciated how Fred was cost conscious, value engineering as needed, allowing me to spend where I wanted on nicer things as they came up. His experience shows and he also has great connections in the area which was very valuable to the project.

We put a second story addition on our home with Cityside. From our first meeting with Freddie, he saw our vision and from there made it come to life. Each one of his contractors were timely, honest, fair and professional. Mike, Freddie's team lead was knowledgeable and detail oriented. Our project came in on schedule and budget and just how we had anticipated in our original meeting. We would not hesitate to use Fred/his team again or recommend them to others looking for building/renovations.

Working with Cityside was an absolute pleasure. Freddie was there every step of the way for our addition to our New England-style Cape. In our first meeting, he reviewed our initial plans and quickly identified opportunities to make them even betterâ offering creative ideas and options that not only fit our budget but also provided more square footage and a more functional layout. Freddie was always available for questions, making the entire process as stress-free as possible. Throughout the project, there were no major issues, and he kept us informed about any minor challenges, clearly communicating resolutions and timelines. Freddie, Mike, and the rest of the crew were thoughtful, professional, and incredibly detail-oriented. We couldnâ t be happier with our beautiful new kitchen and primary bedroom / bathroom. Weâ re already looking forward to working with Cityside again on future projects!

It was a pleasure working with Fred, the contractor, and his brother Mike, the carpenter and overall fix-it guy. Fred always returned my phone calls, and promptly. Because of frequent rainy weather, the project didnâ t get finished as predicted, but I am very happy with the results. The addition looks awesome, and fits nicely with the era (1920â s) and style of the house. The addition included a mudroom plus a half bathroom with washer & dryer. Fred got all the permits thru the town(Framingham) in a timely manner and his skills in architecture were obvious. I would highly recommend Cityside to anyone.

CitySide did a great job remodeling our porch. They provided us with a proposal detailing what they would do and the materials they would use. The project was finished according to specification, price and code. I would hire CitySide again for other projects.

We found that working with the Cityside team was a solid experience. Expectations were clearly set, they communicated well, addressed concerns and questions promptly and our project was completed on time and on budget. The guys are knowledgeable and produce quality work and were respectful of our home and timeline. Cityside will be getting a call for our next project when the time comes.

I'm so glad I met Freddie, our home remodel came out beautiful. We added over 640 square ft to the which included a new kitchen, full bath, guest bedroom, mudd zone, laundrry area master closet and cigar room in the basement and a deck. He helped modernize our staircase too! Freddie's good relationship with the building department made inspections quick and easy, and his team of people were all very professional. We can't wait to hire Freddie again for a future bathroom! Happy to be a reference!

What we loved about Cityside was the ease of process! Fred was easy to contact and was responsive throughout the entire project. We came across Fredericks company while looking for contractor to build a garage. Frederick did an outstanding job building our garage. Frederick visited us to provide an estimate and discuss project ideas. Later on, during construction, Frederick was very responsive and provided answers on all our questions and concerns very quick. Freddie and his team built a great addition to our existing home. We needed someone who could help us with design ideas and the actual construction work. Freddie's design ideas, actual quality of work, and return on investment (in terms final product itself) were second to none and we are now enjoying a very beautifully done master bedroom they built and our son is enjoying his own bedroom as well. We highly recommend Freddie and his Cityside team.

In 2020, we purchased a home built in 1964 that had been loved, but needed major updating; in short, we added a large extension for a gourmet kitchen, office, and seating room, renovated all the rooms in the existing house, restored the original hardwood floors, and upgraded all the electrical and plumbing. On the outside, we added a new entrance and walkway, and a large rear patio. Freddie and his amazing team at Cityside did all this and more! We were deciding among 3 properties, all of which needed major renovations. We contacted Freddie through HomeAdvisor, and he graciously gave up a Saturday to tour each property with us and gave us his honest perspective on what would need to be done to each property based on what we wanted to do. His thoughtful and insightful review of the pros and cons for each property were invaluable in making our decision. In the end, we selected the house Freddie thought was the best choice based on what we had in mind, and we decided to contract Cityside for all the renovations. Over several weeks, we worked with Freddie to develop a plan that would transform this 1964 home to a modern, open concept design, while still keeping the charm and feel of the original house. Freddie worked diligently to provide us with an estimate and improved our design with his architectural knowledge and eye for detail. He also helped us with all the permits, including conservation, that were required for our plans. He and his crew not only did a beautiful job transforming our vision into reality, but they finished the project on-time and we were able to move into our new home one month ahead of scheduleâ even with the pandemic! Without exception, Fredâ s team is highly skilled, polite and a dream to work with. No question went unanswered, and Fred was very responsive and accommodating as we made adjustmentsâ which there were many as you may imagine. With every challenge that arose, Fred ensured we discussed in detail and often presented several options for resolution. His approach made us feel well informed to make the best decisions possible. All renovations are stressful, but Freddie made our renovation a pleasurable experience, and consider him and his team part of our family and we will be eternally grateful for the home they helped us create.

The overall project exceeded our expectations. They completed the project in a timely manner. They strived very hard to keep to keep the costs down. The finish of their work was very good. The crew was very professional and friendly to work with. The work area on a daily basis was always kept very clean. They gave a detailed contract mentioning all the work that will be covered. If we had another project we will definitely give it to them.

Freddie & his crew are consummate craftsmen & complete professionals. His kitchen renovation proposal was incredibly extensive down to the smallest detail. Every question we had (& we had quite a few!) was fully answered & he was always accessible by phone & email. Through every step of the renovation process their craftsmanship & attention to detail were of the highest level. When a couple of unforeseen problems arose (when you tear everything down to the studs thatâ s to be expected) Freddie explained all our options & helped guide us to make the best decisions. His knowledge about every aspect of the project was truly encyclopedic. His advice regarding the kitchen heating system saved us quite a bit of money & he came up with a lot of other great ideas. Bottom line: we couldnâ t be happier with our new kitchen. We have several other home improvement projects in mind, & once our budget permits, we wouldnâ t consider using anyone else but Freddie!

Freddie and his crew put a terrific addition onto our daughter's home in Framingham. Initially we worked long distance and Freddie was in regular communication via text, answering all questions completely and giving the most comprehensive, clear proposal for the job. The workmanship Freddie and his crew do is outstanding. Freddie is a perfectionist, which is a wonderful quality in a contractor. His crew is professional, respectful and friendly in addition to having years of experience and doing a superb job. Freddie is a master a working with sub-contractors. He knows how to put his client's first and on this job was able to broker communication with other contractors in a deft manner. The result was that we always came first. Freddie and his group take tremendous pride in each detail of the job. He was responsive to questions throughout our work together. The result is a beautifully built addition with superb workmanship. I would not hesitate to recommend Freddie and Citiside to anyone.

We had reached out to a number of contractors to remodel our kitchen and put in new hardwood floors throughout the first floor (kitchen, dining room, family room, formal living room, and office). We also refreshed our half bath with new vanity, toilet, mirror & fixtures. Freddie (Cityside) was the most responsive and provided the most comprehensive quote by far, including details on various options for us to consider. Fred was always accessible during the project and addressed all of our questions, concerns, etc. either in person, phone, e-mail, or text. The entire crew (especially Mikey & Mike) and the contractors were extremely professional, always there when expected, and clearly very focused on doing an exceptional job. As various decisions came up during the project, Freddie always clearly defined the situation, explained the pros / cons, and worked with us to make a final decision. He was always very transparent and also provided his suggestions, based on his 20+ years of experience and knowledge of the latest materials, designs, etc. We really love our beautiful new kitchen and brand new hardwood floors, and really wouldn't consider using another contractor for any future home improvement projects. We're glad Cityside serves the MetroWest area and located right in our backyard.

Cityside is the second contractor we have hired to do work on our home and they exceeded our expectations in a big way. Freddie and his guys were excellent to work with. From the time we put the plan on paper until the day they finished the job, the communication was the best I have ever received from a contractor or service provider. The work they did turned out amazing. We had them build a 12' x 12' addition along with a full gut and remodel on our kitchen. From the very beginning, Freddie was honest with me about what we could expect and where to expect the unexpected. It allowed for us to be prepared for everything and it was greatly appreciated since we ran into a couple of challenges behind the walls along the way. In regards to his guys, Mike and Mike were here the most and they were an absolute pleasure to work with. They made great suggestions along the way and communicated any concerns they had immediately. Their finished carpentry work was awesome and we love every thing they did to make the space look finished. Cityside is an excellent choice if you are looking for a contractor who is going to deliver on everything they say they will. They genuinely care about how their work impacts your life and it shows in the finished product. I cant wait to hire them again the next time I need a project done. These guys are a must hire and I highly recommend their work!

After meeting with and getting quotes from many builders I ended up hiring Ciryside. I found their quote the fairest and most easily understood. Not only did they do everything they said but it was done on time. Along the way they made several recommendations that ended up saving money and improved my project. I would recommend them anytime!

We have worked with several contractors in Metrowest and Cityside (Freddy Weeks) gave us the most complete and comprehensive quote, with details on the materials to be used, which allowed us to modify the generally accepted building standards (within code) to fit our specific needs. Additionally, Freddy was very helpful in getting the governmental permits, attending town committee meetings when necessary. Cityside constructed a 10 x 20 addition to our existing den and a deck with an overhang. All in all we are very pleased with Cityside's work and have asked them to do addition work in our house. We feel we got excellent value for the money spent.

Everything that you have read for other reviews is true. Freddie is an energetic, perfectionist contractor who will make your plans into reality. His subcontractors are friendly, courteous, always on time, and they get the job done very well. When new issues came up, Freddie was more than willing to complete that work as well. Our bathroom looks amazing, and the work done on the exterior, where there was previous water-damaged wood, has been taken care of thoroughly. Freddie answers all texts and emails quickly when working for you, so that you always know what will be done and when it will occur. I recommend Cityside strongly! We had a total kitchen remod. Freddie and his team were very professional, dilgent, reliable and detail-oriented. Freddie helped us come up with our design, providing valuable input right down to the trim work. He even came with us to pick out our cabinets. Our project happened during this past winter yet Mike 1 and Mike 2 showed up every single day, shoveling themselves across the yard and up the back deck to enter the kitchen. Freddie checked in twice a day to make sure we were happy with the job. With our working from home and our teenagers' school vacation and snow days, the crew worked in close quarters with us. They took it all in stride and we all got along beautifully. Our former kitchen was a nightmare in terms of wiring and plumbing, which extended the job a couple of weeks but the end product was well worth it! The quality of work and attention to detail by Mike 1 and 2 proved that they are true artisans of their craft. Our next job is the basement and we wouldn't think of hiring anyone else. Thanks guys!!!!

Freddie Weeks and the Cityside staff are excellent. They're professional, friendly, and very honest. Cityside did a complete (down to the studs) kitchen remodel and a 10x13 addition. They also did some additional work on our property. They fixed water damaged walls in our garage; corrected a major flooding problem in our driveway/garage caused by the town's street repaving project; and added a beautiful new walkway/flower bed. We spoke w/6 contractors prior to meeting with Freddie. We settled on him, almost immediately, because of his professionalism, knowledge, and accessibility. He has a wonderful design sense and spent great deal of time talking with us so he could understand exactly what we wanted. He provided detailed answers to all of our questions. Another good thing about Cityside is they stay on budget and as close to schedule as possible. His staff is on time and Freddie is on site almost every day. On the rare occasion can't be on site, he's checks in via phone/email. Since Freddie worked so hard to stay on budget, we were easily able to handle the cost of the additional work. Freddie (and his sub-contractors) is our permanent go to guy. Scheduling a project and start date may take some time, but it's well worth the wait.

Garage was totaled during Sandy, Cityside rebuilt. Fred suggested it was a good time to add on if I was interested..now i have a new kitchen, deck and a half bath. I am thrilled with the results. Fred and his crew were flexible, responsive and professional. Cabinet installation outstanding. Highly recommend.

Fred Weeks of Cityside was fantastic. I have already begun to work with him on other projects, and I would very highly recommend Cityside.

Professional, pleasant, and thorough. Simply a basement refinish, but we were very happy with results. The only issue I had is that since I didn't remember what would be needed from me at certain stages, I had to make rush decisions or hold them up (quickly pick carpet & paint color, buy thermostat, etc.) If I worked with them again, I would make sure to clarify at project start when they need to have things from me and what those are. Because partly my fault, I didn't downgrade them for that.
