All my friends out there especially on the east side of the might Mississippi river - know a person named John Cooper with Clarity Cleaning in Columbia IL. Its not slander or libel if it's the truth so here goes- irresponsible liar of a worthless trying to be professional. Sorry I played nice for many months. Now I will let everyone I know see what a worm this dude is.... I hired him from home advisor, he came out to do the job with you know the typical contractor bs - did a half axx job and left everything a mess. Cannot get back to clean up his mess because he had a run in with the law and spent a little time in the pokie. He has put me off for more than two months and now has promised a refund. Believe me I never had my breath held. It's not about the money, it's about the insults and lies. PS if you own a business never tell your customer you have been locked up for blowing on a sobriety test that was wrong because " I only had three drinks". Wow I learned a lot that day. I am about done with this fool.

I hired Clarity Cleaning after meeting the owner, John Cooper. The work was to clean up my deck and paint it. John noted that one my steps was damaged and proposed to fix it for about an additional $50. His crew came, painted the deck except the staircase, as John would come himself to fix it and paint it. He was supposed the day after his crew. I paid in full by the time his crew was gone. Since John keeps delaying for different reason (bogus or not), he came one day (I was not present) and said the stair case has termites. I called immediately the company that I use to prevent the presence of termites, they came and confirm that there was no termites... Since then, John starts to ignore my text, email, and phone calls. When he picks up the phone (by accident probably) he always have an excuse to do not talk at that time and promise to call back quickly. After 2 month of the painting job was done, I gave up. I am tired trying to get him to finish the work. Do not hire this company as the owner as you can see they are not reliable. 2 month and the job is not done and he has ignored my contact for more than 3 weeks. The quality of the work for the part that his crew did was ok but at the end of the day, I have a deck paint minus the main stair case with one step half way removed....

"We did not charge any extra on this job. The amount paid was for power washing and staining the deck. We notified the customer that he had rotten wood. Again I want to be clear this was not a service he paid "extra" for. My company was going to try to fix it for free with the customer paying for the supplies which are at his home now. The customer is not out any money. We were going to go to the job on the 17th but the customer said if we could not be there by the 13th they were hiring someone else. We had a carpenter lined up to be there the 17th. We are sorry this happened. We pride ourselves on a job well done and stand behind our work 100%.. The customer was more than satisfied with the job we did get paid for. The deck looks brand new except for the rotten step."

We pride ourselves on standing behind our work 100% as we did on your job by coming back and hitting that one area again. We appreciate you powerwashing and doing a beautiful job on our dirty house. Previous occupants in home did nothing. It was so nice to see the house after it was cleaned. I will definitely refer Clarity Cleaning and use them again. Super fast reply and service. 5 star!

Used for window cleaning and power washing. Response time was very good to get scheduled, but the communication regarding the job details and follow up was lacking.

"As far as I know we did everything the customer requested and more. We cleaned the sidewalk to the front porch for free which was not included in the price. We are sorry if you feel we did not communicate to your liking but you never called with a complaint."

Mr Cooper was very professional. Returned calls promptly. Went over and beyond what we expected. Original just wanted gutters cleaned. I found out he also pressure washed driveways walks ect. He came out gave us a price for gutters and driveway/walks. Gave us a price.Which was very reasonable and surprisingly low. Mr Cooper did the work that we had discussed. He called when he had finished. And he infomered me that he also did our fence and garage. Which was a project I was going to do at a later date. I was surprised,I asked how much more I owed. He said nothing. He takes pride in his work. And he wanted our place looking new again. Very pleased with the work performed. There was no hard tactic sales pitch. Will hire in the future. Thanks Mr Cooper for a great job.
