Technician was prompt, pleasant, and very thorough. All my questions were answered regarding current repair and the affect on entire household water supply. Technician was very generous with information and I now have a better understanding of household plumbing system.

Our problems: poor water pressure in Master bath (ended up being a clogged shower head) and pipe knocking associated with outside sprinklers. The plumbing company suggested a new expansion tank ($500)to solve the pipe knocks and a new regulator for water flow issues ($700). I refused the regulator (The plumber was not happy) as I didn't see incuring a $700 expense when I can replace a shower head for a lot less. I did however, accept the expansion tank job which did NOTHING for the pipe knock we experience when the outside sprinklers go off. Did we need an expansion tank? I have no idea - the plumber claimed we had the wrong one for our oversized 75 Gallon water heater. We have noticed no difference between the old and new tanks.

Class Act Plumbing replaced our upstairs gas water heater. They made an appointment to assess the job and provide a quote, and had to reschedule. They were very concerned about setting and managing customer expectations - this I liked in comparison to other companies that quoted over the phone and left me with the feeling I'd be hit with additional charges. Class Act's quote was $300 above my first quote and $350 above Lowes. However, I felt they were competent from the beginning. They found the prior installation wasn't up to code and they installed new piping at no extra charge. They were very courteous and cleaned thoroughly as they removed a very sooty heater down carpeted stairs (ugh!). They promised to make a house call in 6 months to see how the heater is performing. In comparison, the first plumber missed an appointment and was unable to provide a clear precise quote (the cost kept rising the longer he talked). Class Act was professional and service oriented, and provided a turn-key service. I recommend Maurice and his assistant water heater replacement jobs.
