"We would never promise a customer that we will finish a kitchen project in 3 weeks. There are too many facets to a remodel. The inspections alone will delay any work and we never know if we would run in to problems. Cabinets and counter tops were installed in less than 3 weeks but the entire kitchen was not done, since changes were made. We were only informed after the cabinets and counter tops were installed that the customer decided to order new appliances. When a customer like decides to make changes in the middle of a project such as changing / adding cabinets and replacing appliances it adds a definite delay to the project. Electrical lines has to be run from breaker box to new appliances, drywall has to broken and repaired. Appliances took 4 weeks to be delivered. It is not possible to finish the project in 3 weeks as the customer describes above. If a customer decides to purchase new appliances it would definitely increase the budget and should not reflect on the contractor. We obviously try to finish a project as soon as possible because the longer it takes the less we profit on the remodel. Time is money and we try to satisfy our customers as much as possible. There are no bad intentions. Sorry for your inconvenience. We understand that a remodel is very stressful for everyone involved."
