Window Cleaning
He is so nice, but DO NOT HIRE HIM FOR WINDOW CLEANING. I have hired professional window cleaners before, and this is NOT it. He does not know how to clean windows, does not have the proper equipment, broke my screens and did not repair them, spent many hours at my house, and my windows are still dirty! First, he was hours late every time. Said he would come at 11, changed it to 2-3, then at 2:30 said it was too hot. (It is summer in Colorado!) At 6 PM I asked if they were coming, they said 10 min. Arrived at 6:45 (the initial appointment was 11 am). Worked until 8 PM, only cleaned a few windows! Said he would come back. Note: he did not bring a single ladder! Ever! When I showed him that he broke my screen, he did not have a tool to fix it - and did not know the screen part is called a spline. He does not know anything about windows! The next day, he did not check in until around noon. Said he would be here at 4. Then at 2:30, I asked if we were still on for 4 because I had guests coming at 5. He said it would not be at 4, so reschedule AGAIN. Day THREE. I am on a deadline, need it done by day 4 for photos to sell the house. I had roofers coming in the morning. He said he would come after they left. I let him know they were gone before 10 AM. At 12:30 and 1:30, I texted, asking if he was coming. He finally responded at almost 2 saying it would be 4. At 4, he said he was on his way! He got here at 5 PM with one helper. She left after cleaning just a few windows! So it was ONE guy, who kept using dirty water to clean the windows! Get this: WHILE HE WAS CLEANING MY WINDOWS, HE HAD SOMEONE BRING HIM A DESK! He carried out a Craigslist transaction at MY HOME! Meanwhile, the sun went down, and he continued cleaning the windows in the dark! He could not see that he was not getting them clean, just pushing dirty water around on them. At 9 PM, he still was not done, and I had to ask him to leave and come back the next day. Day FOUR (!!!), he said he would be here at 2:30. At 2:30, he texted that he was on his way. Meanwhile, we had a photographer coming at 5. He arrived at 3:50 PM. He told my husband he should be done by 4 or 4:30. This guy is totally unable to estimate how long things take! He worked really hard until after 5 PM. The windows are covered in streaks, some were not even touched, and one of my screens is totally broken. This guy is so nice. He truly works hard. But he does not know what he is doing, and he is chronically hours late, wasted hours of my time and that of my family, did not do the job, and my screen is broken. Now I have to find another contractor to do the job before we do house showings, and I am on a tighter deadline. He may be able to do other cleaning jobs but plan to wait hours for him to just show up. Note: I have not paid him, because has not sent me an invoice. Follow-up: he sent me the invoice on Tuesday for work done on Sunday. It was $272. I asked him to send it to Venmo, and on Sunday he said he could do Venmo. Then when he finally sent it, it was a broken link. I asked him to send it again, and he sent a Paypal link. I asked for Venmo, and his response was, **But you can bypass, signing in pay pal. Just undersign. You can put continue as guest** I have no idea what that means. I just paid him on PayPal. Now he wants me to pay him more to come back out! So I paid him $272 and now I have to hire a company that knows how to get windows clean for $300. I will not be using Home Advisor/Angi again.
