Clean Sweep Home Services, LLC, has been locally owned and operated since 1992. Our services include air duct cleaning, fireplace and dryer vent cleaning both residential and commercial. We also offer cultured stone installation and repair, brick install and repair, tuck pointing and color match, chimney, steps and porch rebuilds and repair, chimney liners, chase covers, caps, dampers and more. We service northeastern Ohio and parts of Akron both residential and commercial. Big job or small, we handle it all.

Brick or Stone Fireplace Gas Repair
I hired him, he quoted me a job price, did some work and then only did part of the work and said that he only quoted me for the work he did that day. I paid him in full and said that I would like to do the rest of it. I called him at least 8 times and he never, never answered or called back. I hired another company.

I'd give Anthony credit for good communication. His service fee I think was reasonable. He showed up on time. The work quality is fair. Visible areas of tuckpointed mortar is sloppy and appears more like uneven patchwork. I guess given the price point I shouldn't complain, yet I expected the product that someone actually took time and effort into.

"First, the customer looked at the work I did on steps and said, "Looks real good, thank you." Then he wrote me a check. The tuck pointing IS patchwork on his front steps, please provide pictures. I resecured loose bricks and patched missing areas of mortar. Maybe you expected the entire steps redone? If so, I can redo for more than what I quoted you for which was for patching the steps. There is NO slop! Pictures please. I also recaulked the 2nd story windows at no charge and fixed 2 areas of copper window awnings where the welding was cracked, these are new windows. No thanks for the free work. There are 2 one inch long areas that I missed and the customer called back irate. I explained I will come back and mortar the 2 one inch long cracks that I did not notice on an entire brick facia on front of house. I spent more than 2 hours repairing all the other spots. Some times I dont see it all at first but all you have to do is point it out and I will return to fix like customer was told. He demanded I return immediately to which I explained I would need to return the next day but he did not like that. Just a note, the customer told me he is having the window guy come back for the 4th time! to make him happy. He complained about the realtor, seller, window guy, roof guy and now me."

Showed up to do the job on time, but the tuckpointing was not done well. Cracks reappeared in 3 months and the color of the cement used on the stone was white, not grey as the original stone. I asked if over time and weather if the cement would blend in and was told that it would. That's not happening. Shaker Housing gave me a violation on the work and told me to have it done over. I called Clean Sweep several times to return and fix it, they said worker would come, but he did not return. I now have to pay again to fix this mess.

"I went to this house to inspect my work, it was fine. The customer is trying to get free work done on additional cracks in her mortar around the home because the city cited her again for more work. Since I refused to do the work for free she left a bad review."

Brick or Stone Tuck pointing
I hired Clean Sweep Home Service to do tuck pointing on some spots of my basement walls, porch pillars and chimney. The price I was charged for the work was very fair, but the quality of the work was very uneven; 70% of areas were well done, 20% were good to ok and 10% were poorly done. He was unable to get close to matching the mortar color on our brick porch pillars and the mortaring of the bricks on the upper portion of our chimney looked like a child did it.

Tony was efficient. Got the job done well and it looks much better. He also took the time to inspect and let me know that I'm looking at a rebuild on a part of my side porch foundation a few years down the road. It was nice to know I have plenty of time to prepare for that type of repair in advanced. Will have him back in the future.
