I had to watch their every move. A huge back gate was installed without any supports, so luckily a huge wind came and blew it down in time for me to demand they put in a support system to keep the gate intact. The fence slats were placed sloppily with huge gaps between, and I had to hound the workers to fix that. Nails and other debris were left all over the back yard, which I had to carefully collect to prevent injuries to my dogs. The owner, Clint, was a jerk who actually yelled at me because I called to get him to finish the job. I suspect he wrote all of these five-star, rave reviews.

Scam business. I hired them to build a 2 3/8 pipe demising fence for a horse corral. They put up 1 3/8 rails which the horses have bent up or removed. Clint came out to review the pitiful job and said they would replace the rails with stronger attachments and the 2 3/8 pipe as bid. That was last summer and I never have heard another word, the fence is falling down and dangerous and I will never trust another contractor recommendation from Angie or Home Advisor. I will be contracting with a reputable fence builder to remove the dangerous and disgusting excuse for pipe fence and replace with proper fencing. After reading other reviews on this company, it is obvious that I am not the only person that was scammed by this company. Home Advisor should be ashamed to recommend this company. If Home Advisor was a reputable company, they would refund me everything I paid to Clearview. Every contractor I have hired through Home Advisor has been substandard to totally inadequate to be in business except for one who is expensive but does excellent work.

I hired Clinton in August 2021 and paid $4300 for a deposit for a new fence. He was supposed to start work in September and finally answered my calls in October and had a sob story about a team member dying, etc., etc. He promised I was next on his list. By November, I was super worried and asked for a refund. He stated that he was going through a divorce and his wife took all his money, so there was nothing to give back. He said it would not be worth me leaving a bad review because then he could not make anymore money to complete my project. He said he had recently completed six fences in Colorado by having the customer buy materials up front. I finally relented and on Thursday December 16, 2021 he sent a crew to Home Depot and then to my house to start the work. They worked for two days, made a COMPLETE mess and have now skipped town. Clint will not answer my calls or emails and has since changed not only his phone number, but the name of his company. It is now Wind Proof Fencing. Do NOT waste your time or money on this scammer. What a nightmare.

As with many recent reviews, Clint Nielsen bid on my fence project in September and took a $4050 deposit. He advised several times there were delays, due to manpower shortages, which is understood. In late November, Mr. Nielsen advised I would need to pay upfront for materials, in addition to the $4050 I paid initially. He said he had a crew ready to go, but did not have any money to pay for materials. I asked several times what happened to the $4050 I gave him. his reply There is no money to refund your deposit. If they were money to refund your deposit there would be money to purchase materials (taken from an e-mail between myself and Mr. Nielsen) Bottom line, this is in violation of Colorado Revised Statutes 38-22-127, (All funds disbursed to any contractor or subcontractor under any building, construction, or remodeling contractor on any construction project shall be held in trust for the payment of the subcontractors, laborer or material suppliers, or laborers who have furnished laborers, materials, services, or labor, who have a lien, or may have a lien, against the property, or who claim, or may claim, against a principal and surety under the provisions of this article and for which such disbursement was made. (5) Any person who violates the provisions of subsections (1) and (2) of this section commits theft, as defined in section 18-4-401, C.R.S.;) I would encourage anyone who has had dealings with Mr. Nielsen similar to mine to reach out to the district attorney office wherever you live. Colorado Courts have also held that the plaintiffs can sue the contractor for treble (3 times the initial amount) plus fees etc. Bankruptcy may also not offer a contractor protection in this circumstance.

Clint, the owner, was professional and gave me a time frame, he made everything sound so easy, I wanted a fence with a gate, it has been over 2 months since they did the job that I had to wait a month for them to even start it, the gate does not close and is already bending, I told Clint, multiple times and asked him to fix it, Of course I had paid for the job before noticing the problem. DO NOT pay a dime until he does the job right, once he gets his money, you are FORGOTTEN. Would not recommend to anyone.

I requested windows installed. I hired Clear Choice , LLC. They did not do a good job. They are also requesting more money to complete my original request. They cause damage to my other windows. When I ask to have the job corrected ho answer when I call.

Definitely stay away from this business and the individual named Clinton Owen Nielsen. We gave him a deposit up front because thats what he requires. After 3 months of delays and excuses he stopped contacting us, ignoring us and claimed not to be living here in Colorado anymore. Tried to contact Home advisor to file a complaint but they are saying that Clinton Owen Nielsen and his business Clear Choice LLC canceled his account with them and Home Advisor was not being helpful even though we hired Clint before he canceled his business with them.

Worked with the owner Clint. He was very personable and gave us a great estimate. Took a few months, but we were told upfront so no worries on our end. The crew showed up. Very efficient and detailed. This was a complete rear fence replacement and was done to our satisfaction. The fence is beautiful and very sturdy. They did a great clean up and came by the last day to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Cannot say enough about his crew. Extremely friendly and again detailed. Would recommend. Not sure of the few bad reviews but sometimes you need to be work with the contractor during these times. Thank you ? Clint and your team. Great job!

Hired Clear Choice after speaking with Clint Nielsen the **owner** to repair/replace our deck. He gave us a timeframe for work to begin and be completed and even ordered some of the materials that he had delivered to my home. After about a month or so, he began telling us about delays due to out of stock materials. We completely understand that some situations are out of the contractors control, so we were willing to wait and even did some of the leg work ourselves. We looked up materials that were in stock and could be ordered to replace the materials that were out of stock. There were price differences that we were even willing to pay. After we found all of the materials needed to get the job done and sent the information over to Clint, Clint decided to wait until after business hours on a Friday to email us, not even call us, to tell us that he decided to fire his deck crew so he will not be doing our deck. At first he was combative and refused to refund all of our money, but once we showed him proof that would damn him in court, he finally agreed to give us all of our money back. Long story short, if we could give him a 0-star rating we would. He is a scammer and has moved across the country doing this under different named LLCs. Do not use Clint Nielsen or his or his wifes companies for anything.

I needed a fence to keep animals out of my garden, clear choice was quick to respond and had several great ideas for my fence. It turned out very nice. the only down side was that i had to wait a few weeks longer than i anticipated but it was worth the wait.

Buyer beware. He had subcontractor to do the job. He did not make sure that the subcontractor had a background check nor insurance. The subcontractor did not finish the job and came back to demolish the fence because he did not pay the subcontractor and now he cannot get a hold of him. The service professional advised me to contact my homeowner's insurance and he would give me a quote to redo the job.

The installer on this project was done breed a bad apple however we have no way of knowing this until it?s too late. Installer was asked to return to property several times to address small construction issues. He was advised that he would be paid when the customer was happy. ( the way it always has been) he decided to get upset and rather than complete the small tasks asked if him he destroyed the work he had done. (Not a good way to get paid). We have been in business over 20 years a"

Clinton Nielsen made my life a living hell. Week after week after week I could keep going. He charged me $6,000 for a deck. I paid him $3,000 up front and he said that he was 4 weeks behind. After just shy of 2 months he texted or emailed me and my wife saying that he was no longer doing decks. I got 3 separate checks. 1 for $1500 and some change, another for $1400 and some change , which bounced! Then he didnt want to pay me the $479 plus some change which I had to fight him for week after week. Finally, I got my money back. I hope nobody has to go through what I did. He told us that if he could not do the job HomeAdvisor would send someone else to do the job. This is not accurate. He told my neighbor the same thing. He acts like it is some sort of insurance. He is not a man of his word.

"Mr. Harris has been fully refunded. Mr. Harris has also had to rewrite his review 3 times now due to false statements. This one is not far behind on being deleted as well. Some people do not have much else to do other than try and cause trouble for others I suppose. We do not believe that there is anything wrong with returning customer deposits if we are not any longer capable of performing the project that we were once capable of performing. He waited on the second half of his refund due to the fact that we had already purchased materials for his project and had them picked up and returned and we are waiting for our funds prior to refund him."

Clear choice sub-contracts crews which isn't a problem, the issue I ran into was the 1st crew that showed up quit, and the 2nd crew left trash in my yard even though there was a trash can available. Additionally the 2nd crew kept putting off finishing the last few things needed to complete the fence. The fence is quality, I just think the process wasn't as clean as it should have been.

I hired based upon time to completion, price, and confidence in the LEAD guy. I was away when the project was done. I asked to wait until I was home to evaluate the fence, before final payment. Was told the **workers will not get paid**... blah, blah, blah. Against my better judgment, I paid the bill. Upon returning home: I found a great ** 50-foot project**. If you are 50 feet away, it looks okay. If you get up close, this is what you will find: They trashed my concrete walkway. They destroyed a shrub in my landscaping. They left ruts in my landscaping. They covered river rock landscaping with dirt. They cut off posts at random heights. They screwed boards on in uneven and random fashion. They did NOT adjust to the situation they were in. They left a five-gallon bucket, plus an extra trash can of post and board cut-offs, staples, screws, cigarette buts, sakrete bags, etc. behind for me to clean up. I reached out to the owner about the crappy job, told him I would rather fix the problems, rather than give him a bad review. He said he would call me. A month later, he has not found time to see what his yard monkeys did for me. Bottom line: I will give them a C. I have a yard fence. It keeps the dogs in. The posts are uneven. The boards are uneven. I had to pick up all the trash they left behind. I had to clean up the mess they made.
