Our boiler wasn't working and Gene came to our home on a Sunday to take a look at it! He was able to get it to run manually so we had heat throughout the next day until a replacement part was available. He even drove through a Noreaster to come and replace the part so we had heat and hot water during the storm! I highly recommend Gene for any boiler work that you need done.

Professional, knowledgeable, honest, and efficient. Converted our gas dryer to propane, reversed the door to make it easier to access, and installed both the dryer and a washer. Took time to run the units through a cycle to verify functionality and upgraded the shut off valves in the laundry room at our request. Explained everything he was going to do

It's pretty clear to me that Gene knows his stuff. Took his time to properly diagnose the problem and was very thorough in his assessment. He's also honest and fair so I would strongly recommend giving him a call if you need some work on your HVAC.

150 bucks for coming out. Another 100 bucks for new capacitor, cleaning coils and checking freon. The guy is honest and works hard.

Gene called while I was still online with the home advisor website. Set up appoint for the next morning, showed up on time, and did the work for a very fair (cheap) price. Very satisfied.

THIS IS ALL 100% TRUE AND HARD TO BELIEVE!! It is 2:30am Thursday morning, July 20th, 2017. We are having a heat wave and when I woke up, it was HOT in my house. It was 80 degrees!! I noticed my AC was not coming on. The big unit outside was not turning and no cold air! I try to be a DIY type guy. I saw that it tripped a circuit breaker. I turned the breaker back on. The second I turned it back, it blew again! I did research. I found out that it could be many different things from a direct short to a clogged filter...not enough freon, a mouse could have crawled in and chewed a wire and the list goes on. On every site I went to, they say that this in NOT something you should do on your own and you should hire a pro. At around 3am I filled out a request on Home Advisor. I received a call at 7:30 am but not from Cliffhanger. It was a different company. I dont want to be sued so instead of using their name, lets just use.. AA Absolutely....or AAA....so AAA tells me that they will give me a free estimate. I book an appointment for around 9am. Around 8am I receive a call from Cliffhanger. A guy named Gene who also owns the company. I told him what was going on and I also told him that I already booked an appointment with AAA so let me have your number and if by some chance they come and cant fix it, I will call him back. Gene was very nice, knowledgeable and said fine but he warned me that there are some companies that DO NOT send out technicians. They send out salespeople and will tell me I need a complete new unit! I thought that was ridiculous but I took his number. When I hung up with him, I read his reviews... and then I read AAA reviews... WOW!! Do Genes clients LOVE him. AAA, not so much so I called Gene back and set an appointment with him. I called the other company to cancel but there was already a knock on my door. AAA was here.What do I have to lose from a second opinion? I SWEAR this is what happened.... this young guy, early 20s comes in. As we are walking to the kitchen to sit and talk, he asked me what was wrong. I said my breakers keep tripping as soon as I put the AC on. He said to me that he knows exactly whats wrong. He has seen this many times and he is sure he can fix this!! So far, so good. I âm waiting for him to get his tools and fix!! No tools but a pen...He takes a look for about 30 seconds at my unit and says he is going to give me a proposal to fix. My proposal from AAA was $9500!!! LOL He said, EXACTLY like Gene said that I need a complete new everything but the good news is they have 0% financing!!! LOL They sent me out a salesperson!!!! OMG!!! I then had him leave and waited for Gene. Gene couldnt get to me until close to 6PM. I was worried that it was getting too late for them to show up! Gene laughed at that as they work well into the evening. SO now they are here and I am still trying to digest the $9500 estimate from earlier... Well... they actually sent out 2 TECHNICIANS and not a sales person. Cliffhanger sent
