Cliff the Electrician

cliff was kind, honest on time and finished the job in a very timely fashion. i wouldnâ t hesitate to have cliff do more work at my house.

Very reliable

Cliff did not even give me an estimate. He showed up and disconnected everything and then told me he needed $400 to fix it. The next electrician I called wouldn't touch the job as Cliff had already torn it down. Cliff left the connections open and exposed. I had to keep the power off for the safety of my children. Cliff returned 2 days later and instead of pulling wires, he smashed holes in the plaster. AFTER doing this, he stated "I don't do plaster". Cliff could not figure out the problem after 2 days work. He came back for the third time and managed to get the electricity working somewhat. He did damage to 3 walls and left boxes open. I called another electrician to finish the job and he told me that Cliff is not a registered electrician in the city of PGH. Oh, and before he left on the third day he got my wife to write him a check for another $1000 dollars!! And then he refused to give me a receipt that I could turn in for my homeowner's insurance. Cliff ended up getting $1400 off me, damaged my house and didn't finish the job.The next time I see Cliff will be at the Magistrates office.

I was out of town so my wife dealt directly with Cliff, who she said is a very nice guy and easy to work with. In addition to that, he was able to turn the job around quickly - installing two new interior doors within a few days of contacting him. While the doors were installed as promised, the $400 quote he provided turned into $525 by the time the job was complete, with the only discernible change being that he had to provide two sets of hinges and a knob set for one door. There was additional time incurred as he had to take one door off after he judged it complete because the door was clearly sticking in the frame, but I'm not sure that should be something we paid for. Lastly, upon returning home, I was able to clearly see Cliff's path between rooms, based on the scrapes and scuffs along the way - the doors were painted white (poorly) and had bumped into both a hallway table and desk in our den (both dark wood), a large scratch was left in our hardwood floor (again highlighted by the white paint), and a chunk of baseboard was dented and scratched. To be fair, my kids inflict plenty of damage on their own and our house is far from perfect - I just expect a little more care and attention to detail from a pro.

Did less than what was expected. Kept adding things on saying they were not on the quote. I did not feel he was up front with what the job involved and explain exactly what was included and what was not.

Cliff and his partner Lowell worked very hard on our project and made many good decisions and recommendations on even the smallest details. We would use them again without hesitation!

Cliff's work is absolutely the best! His rates were MORE than fair & his work is better than words can describe. He actually ran the sweeper after his work was complete! He is the ideal professional!

Have recommended Cliff to other family members. He did a fine job. Very pleased. Would hire him again :)

Cliff is a very nice guy and I am satisfied with all the electrical/plumbing/gas work he provided. I will call him again.
