Clyde construction co.

Great experience from start to finish. We had a major renovation completed with ease. The project was completed before schedule without any hiccups. Very reasonable on price and the quality of the team and the finished product were amazing. Highly recommend you go with this company if you need any sort of construction or remodel in the Northern Virginia area! 10/10

TL;DR: After initially scheduling to complete the project within a month, the work now costs $16,000 more, water leak in project area occurred, no access to washer/dryer for 3 months, and is still not complete four months after the start of the project. See pictures for today's project state and Clyde's initial schedule. This is my first non-five star review in 5 years and reflects serious gaps in service, expectation management, and professionalism. As a first time homeowner and an officer of the US military, I am disappointed to say that Clyde Construction has repeatedly failed to proactively communicate delays and issues in this project and has demonstrated little sense of urgency towards project completion. I first contacted Clyde and had a project walkthrough on June 28, 2024. The worker there was ultimately let go and Clyde contacted me back on July 18, 2024 apologizing for the gap in communication and asking for another chance for the project. Given the competitive pricing offered, I chose Clyde to perform a major renovation. The process since then during the last four months has been extremely frustrating with a lack of clarity from multiple different project managers: Charles, Rafi, and Vicsomar. This has directly lead to multiple weeks of workers not showing up to progress the project, no clear timelines, and broken promises. - The delay has caused me to not have a washer/dryer for the last 3 months, forcing me to go to a local laundromat on a weekly basis to complete my laundry. - The delay has also caused a water leak which, although Clyde repeatedly denies was caused by them, occurred directly in the project area. - The final straw before prompting this review was notifying Clyde on November 27, 2024 that the project needs to be complete by January 2025 in order to accommodate my military occupational demands. Today is January 2, 2025 and attached are pictures of the current project state. Also attached is the original schedule for the project.

Charles and the team were extremely helpful with our project in Fairfax

We recently hired the team at Clyde Construction Co. for a custom modification of our kitchen cabinets and to build a custom backyard fence—and we could not be more impressed with the results. From our very first consultation, Charles was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and detail-oriented. He took the time to understand exactly what we wanted and even made suggestions that elevated the final outcome beyond the practicality of what we had imagined. When it came to the fence, Charles again went above and beyond. He worked with the unique layout of our backyard, and the final product is sturdy and secure enough to handle our pitty who tries to climb it often. It’s clear that he takes great pride in his craftsmanship, and it shows in every detail—from the precision of the woodwork to especially the quality of the materials used. Communication was excellent throughout the process. There were some delays due to weather and my own scheduling issues , but Charles was always transparent about timelines and commitment to finish the work, and any minor adjustments were handled promptly and professionally. He kept us updated every step of the way, which really gave us peace of mind. If you’re looking for top-notch construction work with a personal, trustworthy touch, I highly recommend Charles and Clyde Construction Co. We’ll definitely be working with the them again on future projects!
