When it comes to home repairs and renovations, trust is paramount. When you invite someone into your home to fix damages, you expect professionalism, honesty, and timely completion of work. Unfortunately, my experience with Michael Lampro, representing Coastal Adjustment Group LLC and F & M Peak Point Exteriors and Renovations LLC, has been anything but trustworthy. The journey began on April 26, 2024, when AllState Insurance referred Coastal Adjustment Group LLC to me for water damage repairs. The initial conversation with Michael Lampro was promising. He eagerly picked up his phone, assured me of his capabilities, and convinced me that the job would be handled with the utmost professionalism. Feeling reassured, I paid him a $1,000 deductible to start the work, which involved painting four walls in a downstairs home office, sealing the roof with sheetrock, and replacing the damaged carpet with floor tiles. We agreed on upgrading the flooring to "The Claybore" tiles at $4.29 per square foot from Floor & Decor, requiring an additional $1,500 paid on May 15, 2024. Despite the smooth start, things quickly took a turn for the worse. On May 30, 2024, Michael informed me that he and his crew contracted COVID-19 but assured me that they would resume work the following week. I expressed my condolences and support, understanding the circumstances. However, on June 3, 2024, while I was out of state, I inquired about the progress and received a text from Michael stating, "Crew is there today tearing out the rug... tomorrow we will scrap the floor to get all the glue off the floor and then we will start painting." This seemed promising, but it was just the beginning of a series of misleading updates. On June 7, 2024, I reached out again for an update and was told via text, "Yes! We are in the middle of scrapping the concrete floors... the carpet was really glued down." From June 11, 2024, Michael started avoiding my calls, responding only with excuses like being in a Zoom class. After multiple texts, he finally informed me on June 17, 2024, that a supplement was sent to AllState for additional work due to the excessive glue on the floor. He assured me that the new flooring would be available for pickup on June 20, 2024, and the job would be completed by June 24, 2024. June 24, 2024, came and went with no progress. When I inquired, Michael responded, "Yes!! Finally... just got the call 10 minutes ago... I will get a crew there in the next 48 hrs." On June 28, 2024, he claimed that painting was ongoing and the floor had arrived. However, this was another false promise. On July 1, 2024, AllState informed me that Michael had told them my tenant was away on holiday until July 11, which was a blatant lie. My tenant was only away for a weekend, and we had a property manager who could have facilitated access. This lie was an attempt to extend the timeline further. After confronting Michael about the lie, he backtracked and promised the crew would come on July 8, 2024. The crew showed up that day, but only completed the painting. No flooring was installed. On July 9 and 10, 2024, I received no responses regarding the flooring installation. Finally, on July 10, 2024, Michael texted, "Waiting on the installers' schedule... I will keep you updated as soon as I know." His lack of communication and constant delays were causing significant financial damage and inconvenience to my tenant, who used the space for work. When I pressed Michael further, he deflected, claiming that the funds for the job were still with AllState , implying that without payment, he felt justified in delaying the work. This statement was misleading since it is standard protocol for insurance companies to pay after job completion. My experience with Michael Lampro and Coastal Adjustment Group LLC has been nothing short of a nigh...

Recovery Service - Fire or Smoke Damage
$57,000
Based on my personal experience, I strongly advise against working with Coastal Adjustment Group. On July 3, 2023, Dee Wilson and Michael Lampoo from Coastal Adjustment Group visited my home following a fire accident, representing Progressive via Sedgwick. Michael, presenting himself as a Veteran, aware of my active-duty military status, convinced us to sign a contract for the house repairs. Initially, things went well, after I paid the $1000 insurance deductible to him. However, once I made an additional $56,173 check payment to Michael Lampoo for material and labor, his responsiveness immediately declined. The man who used to call me every day or sometimes even twice or more a day to talk about military life and to inquire about the status of the claim reimbursement from Progressive suddenly stopped calling. I had to call him to ask about updates and timelines for the job. Despite my persistent inquiries about the job, progress stagnated, and assurances were made only to be forgotten. Even after I informed him of my upcoming military relocation orders for June 1, hoping my Active-duty status and the intention of putting the house on the market before leaving would spur action, Michael's conduct remained unchanged. Ultimately, I decided to accept what work he had completed and requested reimbursement for the remaining funds I paid him, to allow me to find someone to promptly address the necessary repairs before my imminent departure, just a month away. However, he declined, citing contractual obligations. I contacted Progressive to update them on the situation, and the representative handling my case expressed surprise that my home has yet to be fixed. They mentioned Michael had once indicated I was difficult to reach. I was surprised to hear this as well and I offered to provide phone records to demonstrate how frequently I've tried to contact him. They informed me they've also attempted to reach him lately with no success. I've informed my Command about the situation and efforts are underway to address the issue and get me out of his so-called "contract" Also, with the evidence provided, they're actively considering adding this company to the list of establishments' service members should avoid in the Hampton Roads area. Here's what's been accomplished: - Repaired a small section of drywall near the stove. - Addressed burnt wiring, though electrical issues persist. - Painted the house. - Cleaned the HVAC system. However, significant work remains incomplete: - Entire kitchen cabinets. - Countertop. - Backsplash. - Flooring kitchen and living room. - Stove Vent. - Stove Despite paying $57,173.73 between July to October 6th, progress remains minimal. Despite my efforts to communicate to a Veteran, the urgency as an active-duty service member facing relocation, Michael continues to delay and evade. Should Michael dispute any of these claims, I am prepared to provide a timeline or sequence of events, including video footage of visits to my house, phone text messages, voice records from phone calls, and signed documents, to substantiate my assertions.

"The project was not top notch. Not only did they not complete the job but over charged. $6,000 for a little over 500 square foot of paint that wasn't finished , a water heater, 10 square feet of flooring, and over charged for things that wasn't bought or repaired . These people are very unprofessional and did an unacceptable job. I wasn't happy with the way things were done. I contact the insurance adjuster to come out to look at the work that was done and he agreed that it was unprofessional and unfinished. The insurance adjuster and I reached out to Sedgwich to correct the matter. Sedgwick is the company that connected me with the Coastal Construction and Electrical, Corp. I spoke with Brian Christine Northeast Regional Field Services Manager about the matter. He seemed as if he wanted to help but soon realized that he as well was giving me the run around with excuses about Mike Lampro mother dying. I first spoke with Mike Lampro in December, now its almost March and still back and foward about money that they say i owe. I have given this company $5000. I would do my research before hiring or get theses people to do any job. I wish i had done that first.

Terrific experience after water damage in kitchen leaking through to basement. All the trades were completely professional doing high quality work - flooring, drywall, painting, carpet cleaning. Outstanding customer relations - kept us informed, accommodated our scheduling needs, and dealt with insurance company.

Coastal Adjustment Group is awesome! I am so thankful for all their help and guidance. They are incredibly responsive and their knowledge and understanding of the insurance industry was essential. They helped navigate our claim process and at every turn went the extra mile to make sure our claim was correctly assessed and paid. Without their help, I am certain I would still be fighting the insurance company. Coastal Adjustment Group provided excellent customer service and quality. I highly recommend them.

The Coastal Adjustment Group does all in their power to go the extra mile to not only repair damage but to make things right. Not just the bare minimum but the attention to detail to provide peace of mind. They are communicative making sure we, as customers, don't feel left out or abandoned. Michael Lampro made sure the work done was satisfactory and walked us through the evolving claim process after the walls and ceiling were opened for repair. His crew was thorough and professional, when they left the job site each day everything was cleaned up and neat. They treated our facility as it was their own. When we had an issue with the reinstallation of outlet plates during the repair they fixed the issue without complaint and as soon as possible. I appreciated the honesty and forthrightness of Michael Lampro, the principal assessor, was clear about the capabilities of his crew and what they were able to do for us. When they found additional issues he contacted our insurance provider and us to explain what was found and what would be covered by insurance. When we asked about a different job (one we were going to contract individually and pay for), not covered by the insurance claim, that would require a specialized skillset (19th century plaster repair), he did some research but related his contractors were unable to take the job because they lacked the necessary skills. I appreciate that he didn't recommend someone to "fix" our problem but professionally declined because his workers weren't comfortable working on the plaster. If I needed a contractor to do other renovations Coastal Adjustment Group would be my first call and if my colleagues and friends are looking for contracting services I recommend Michael and his group.
