Representative did thorough inspection of ducts before quoting price. Very honest in recommending only necessary work. Technician was fast, efficient and neat in cleaning out duct work.

Completely descriptive estimate of everything they intended to do. The estimator took a lot of time to draft out his layout and estimate all of the supplies he needed. The actual installers were VERY efficient and hard working. Great clean up and fixed whatever was damaged in the installation.

An unexpected repair problem occurred when repair man left but said problem was corrected immediately even though it was the weekend.

We were initially happy with this company but within a few months, we had a leak in the air handler when we were away for the summer so we were unaware of the leak. Our entire bamboo floor was ruined and needed to be replaced. Coastal would not take any responsibility, blaming the manufacturer of the valve failure.

They were on time and very professional. My air in my house is better and now my coughing is almost gone. Mold was in my duct work and bathroom. Both done and now I am breathing better. Thank you!!!

Our A/C unit ran and ran on Sunday and never got cooler than 82 degrees. We contacted Home Advisor and were called by Coastal on Monday. Coastal's man "Raz" came out and examined our A/C system on Tuesday and said our system was low on refrigerant. He noticed that the lines ran underground to the Carrier air handler in the utility room. He said that was the reason there was no cooling was the lines and recommended running new lines through the attic. At first he said the cost would be $2300 and if we wanted it done the next day we needed to decide in the next three minutes. I called another company to see what their price would be and it would only cost $1000. Raz said his boss would let them do the new lines for $1700 and they would give us a lifetime guarantee on their work. At first I said no and paid for the service call. About an hour later I called him back and agreed to have the installation the following day for $1700 minus the service call charge because I thought his company was more trustworthy. On Wednesday, the men who were supposed to come out early in the day arrived three hours late and said they couldn't install the line because it was raining and they didn't have the length of line they needed. So they put a charge of freon in the line to provide some cooling until they came back Thursday. They came at 8:30AM Thursday and finished at 3:30PM. It cooled okay Friday and Saturday but wasn't working Sunday. We called Sunday night and said there was ice on the evaporating coil and the temp never had gotten below 82 degrees, though it had run all day. The agent on the phone said she would give the installer the message but not to be hopeful because they had a lot of customers the next day. I told her that we should be in the front of the line because we had been without air for a week while working with Coastal. Coastal Air sent out their tech Monday midday. Checking the evaporator coil (which Raz had not done), he found that there was a leak in it. So, he said he would get a replacement from Carrier (it was in warranty) and come back, which he did on Wednesday. That seemed to do the trick. They did not charge me for installing the evaporator coil, but they also have not agreed to reimburse me for the unnecessary installation of the line set. Today (Friday) I looked into the attic to see the line they had installed. Wow! it was all twisted and unsecured and just laid across the attic access hole. Also, it laid across the cold air duct and weighted it down and ripped a hole in it, allowing cold air to escape into the attic. Now I am going to have to go back and straighten their lines, secure them to framing members, and tape up the shoddy work they did with the insulation on the line set (they cut it all along the length and did not even tape it up. I don't know how a company like this stays in business. I will never let them come back to my place again.

Needed service as my current A-C unit was not cooling. Ras from Coastal came out and explained my options with replacement verses repair. Repairing the unit would have cost about the same as a new unit would. Ras was very knowledgeable and courteous. Their installation techs came out the next day and installed the new unit. Everyone I dealt with was very professional and pleasant to deal with. Would recommend Coastal Air to anyone who asked for an A-C Company.

They called in 5 min., came out the same day to evaluate and installed the new heat pump/ air cond, the same day! So far, everything seems perfect. Only waiting for a circuit and final county inspection. This is a team of high quality professionals who take pride in their work and good care of their customers.

Excellent work and service. They had me up and running with a new system within 24 hours. Being that I'm a snowbird I didn't want to sit around and wait all day. They showed up the job is done in a few hours. I'd highly recommend them very efficient.

They were very professional, answered any questions I had. They even came back to my home after they were done and finished for the day and gone home themselves when I called them after installation on a concern.

Ask how they will collate the county inspector with your install and would you need to be home waiting on the inspector. Also company needs to return calls with customers concerns.
