Door installation failure. We had an exterior door installed on our home by Coastal Rennovations. The door has a small overhang but anytime it rains sideways we get water intrusion that damages our wood floor inside the door. Thank goodness that the overhang exists and rain doesn’t often hit the door. Our issue: This door is obviously still not installed correctly, because years later we continue to have issues. We are now at a month of leaking again and we keep getting pushed back and told he can’t repair the door unless it’s 50 degrees. (This is not true.) Sam, the owner, has even resorted to calling me an “argumentative woman” when I offered him the good weather date options that align with the spec of the materials and our schedules. (I was just trying to block my calendar to ensure we were here for the repair weather day he wanted.) He will not give us a repair date. He further stated he “did not warranty his work”. My husband and I plan to contact the BBB later this week if the issue is not resolved to ensure this doesn’t happen to others. Update: Called another contractor who quickly found NO FLASHING TAPE INSTALLED, NO DOOR PAN, and an IMPROPERLY INSTALLED piece of FLASHING above the door by Coastal Rennovations.

I had a great experience working with Coastal Renovations LLC on a recent project to design and build a screened porch at my home. Sam and Josh were excellent to work with from start to finish—polite, professional, and attentive throughout the entire process. They collaborated closely with me on the design, delivered high-quality craftsmanship, and made sure every detail was handled the right way. Even after the main work was complete, they followed up promptly on remaining punch-list items to ensure everything met expectations. Sam and his team did a phenomenal job from start to finish. We had an unstable wood deck and front steps. He rebuilt all of it with Timbertech. We had wood railing replaced with stainless steel cable. Sam was able make recommendations based on our ideas for an even better project than we had imagined. He was an excellent communicator along the way. His team was efficient with high attention to detail. Will use them for any future renovations.

This is 2nd time we’ve used Sam & his crew. Once again we are very happy with their job and their service. They removed an old sliding glass door system which did not open properly & put in a new door, reinstalled trim and the unit looks great.

Love our new porch! We had Sam & his crew (all personable and skilled) out for 2 weeks in May to expand our screened porch from 10 x 10 , to a roomy 10 x 22 configuration. They worked with what we had, gave clear direction and vision, and finished on time. They matched our original porch beautifully. We're thrilled with it!

Sam and Josh are timely, trustworthy and do a nice job. They recently converted a closet into a laundry room and modified an adjoining pantry. They have completed other projects for us and always complete in the agreed time frame.

Horrible. Coastal Reno was hired to install a door from our bedroom to deck. Every time it rained in the direction of the door it leaked into the house. This happened for years. We repeatedly went back to coastal to make it right but the owner started avoiding us and name calling when I asked for an actual repair date. I am apparently an ?argumentative woman?. He also insinuated I was not intelligent. We called in another contractor who within an hour found the flashing was cut and there was zero flashing tape used.

We just used Sam Petrostyan and his crew to replace our old wood deck. They did a great job. They very carefully improved the wooden support structure and then installed Timber-Tech deck flooring. Everything was finished in 1 day. They cleaned up our yard and hauled away the debris. We highly recommend Sam and will use his services again.

Sam was very professional and walked us through the best ways to accomplish what we wanted to do. He strengthened the existing deck framing. The finished product was what we envisioned. Very pleased with the results.

I had to replace most of the deck at my house in Mt Pleasant, due to an unforeseen plumbing emergency. Sam made it so easy. He met with me so we were clear on the project, he got started a few days later, he completed everything and left a clean job site, then he gave me a reasonable time to inspect his work before I paid him. Iâ m going to get a fence quote from him next. Highly recommend!

Sam and Josh did a complete Kitchen redo, right down to the studs and sub floor. They installed cabinetry, new wood floors, paint job, did electrical work, installed lighting, moved A/C duct work, etc. They did a wonderful job and we are so proud of our new kitchen. Sam is a perfectionist and made fabulous recommendations on how we could improve our design. Five stars.

Sam and Josh were always on time, always reliable and responsive, they worked quickly and efficiently, and most importantly made the remodel of the master bath beautiful! In spite of supply chain issues, they still completed in a timely manner. They also have done decking, siding, windows and handrails for us. They are the first ones I call and I highly recommend them for any of your remodeling needs.

Coastal Renovations did excellent work on two decks, including a complete demo and rebuild on one of them. They take pride in their work and their professionalism and definitely go the extra mile.Work was done on time, even despite some rainy weather. I will be hiring them again, and strongly recommend them.

The project included a number of home improvements, the most significant of which was the remodeling of the master bathroom. The work was done in a timely manner and with a focus on detail. Great customer service. I would highly recommend Sam and his team to others and I plan on using the company for future projects.

Excellent quality work, the price was acceptable (given what prices are today post-pandemic and some additional issues we did not see beforehand). Work completed on time and everything cleaned up and taken away. Sam and Josh took all the burden off my shoulders of having to track down materials, where I would dispose of old decking boards and any other small items that may have been needed to complete the job. Overall, very happy and ready to move on to the next project with Coastal Renovations.

Most importantly, the quality of work is outstanding. They don't cut corners and they do the job right. They are also very good at thinking of things the customer doesn't and making good suggestions on how to improve the projects. They are very polite, courteous, and professional. Enjoyable to interact with at all times. Josh and Sam renovated multiple rooms inside and redid the decks on the front and back of the house and did absolutely excellent work everywhere.
