Coastline Construction & Development, Inc.

When I spoke with Rick, he had a nice manner and thought some of my unique ideas were "doable" but he didn't make a commitment until he could see more behind the walls. I ended up with some electric problems and he had a specialist resolve those. The house was built in 1966 and the electrical was showing its age before the projects started. He assigned a team of two brothers to my 2 bathroom re-models and early into the job, I felt like they were my brothers. Oscar was so meticulous with his tiling work and Fernando seems to know how everything should work (plumbing, drains, drywall, painting). Fernando also made suggestions for future access to plumbing and drains and Rick agreed with his modifications. Permits were pulled without hesitation and his pricing was fair. I paid as the project progressed. I received good communication about the work schedule and I am VERY happy with the beautiful outcome of my two new bathrooms. Also, they updated laundry room

We are very pleased with our whole house remodel performed by our contractor, Rick Simmons of Coastline Construction. We received four bids from various contractors which were all competitive. We chose Rick for various reasons including that he was easy to communicate with and that he uses his own very skilled employees, no subcontractors. We completely remodeled the kitchen, the main and secondary bathroom, laundry room and installed new flooring throughout that required grinding and leveling the concrete slab. Every wall and ceiling was retextured and painted. It was a HUGE job. Rick is a hands-on contractor who stopped by the house 3-4 times a week (sometimes everyday!). Rick kept us up to date on scheduling and every addition we made to the scope of work was clearly documented in change orders that we discussed with him. We had a good idea of what we wanted design-wise and the end result reflects that vision.

Richard is wonderful to work with. The men he hired to work in my home were delightful people. The work performed was excellent. He listens to what you want and never a Problem of any kind. I have already told several people about him and they plan to call on him. 10 stars and more 👍👍

Went really well, love my new kitchen!!! It's very modern now! Very professional and extremely high quality work! Definitely would use them again!

Coastline Construction and Development did a great job on my kitchen remodel. Rick and his crew were able to take the design my friend created and make it real! Amazing! I especially appreciated the partnership we created to attend to all the details that make my kitchen feel like magic. I'm so happy with the result! I definitely recommend Coastline Construction and Development for your remodeling needs.

We had a wonderful experience with Rick and his crew. We did a major kitchen remodel and were up against a tight deadline since I was pregnant at the time and we needed everything done before the baby arrived. The guys were so kind and cleaned up after themselves every day, they even went above and beyond to make the construction area look nice for our baby shower. I will say if you haven’t done any projects since COVID you’re going to get sticker shock because of how costly things are nowadays. Rick’s price was in line with other quotes we got, but has multiple crews that he manages and was able to start the next week. Also, if you are doing any structural work you MUST go with Rick. We had to remove a load bearing wall to open up our floor plan and while they were in the attic, Rick spotted some previous work done that was not to code. They fixed that beam as well and now we feel so safe in this house. We are SO happy with the finished product! It’s our dream kitchen.

His workers did not understand the scope of work. I had to have them redo twodifferent things...the tile floor of the shower and placement of the vanity. The contractor didn't see the problem I had to insist it be done right (see photos). The contractor didn't know if there should be insulation in the ceiling or not and asked me if there was insulation there before. I didn't know because I didn't see the restoration company do the demo. So he didn't put in the insulation and now I can hear everytime my neighbor flushes her toilet. I don't think he installed tall enough shower doors because water splahes out. I didn't notice until after I paid him that he didn't finish off the wall behind my toilet so there is a big clean-out plug sticking out the wall. Trying to get him to come out and put a cover on it but he's not responding. Update as of 04/27/26: Just adding on to my original review since Rick's response was not accurate. Hope you can see these pics. Only 18 months later much of the grout is cracked and having someone else coming to fix it. And his ending remark "Thank you, Karen!"is very unprofessional.

Communicative, respectful, good quality work, neat; cleaning up after themselves etc... Really nice people.

If I could give them a 10 I would. Theyre always on time, very informative, and I cant wait to use them on my next project!

He is a great contractor - I would give him more than a five if I could.

The entire staff was excellent, I would recommend them, and I will use them again!

Rick as a project leader has excellent communication skills. He was always available on the phone or via text and responded promptly. His team was VERY hard-working and very polite !!! I would highly recommend Rick and his team to anyone out there who is looking for a remodel.

Rick was very nice to work with. Always answered my phone calls. He was very patient about picking out materials out and with making change. He's very flexible, honest, and friendly. I would work with him again.

They did a great job.

Great company to work with! Rick I very was very personable they cleaned up perfectly. They did everything they said they would.

There is no one else out there who does that quality of work at that price!

Pretty much they did good work. You pay what you get for. It wasn’t cheap but they did really good work. They worked very well with me in terms of what I wanted and stuff that they had never done before but they worked with me in terms of trying to figure it out. There were so many delays. I had to find somebody else. So it took months longer than it should have. The only thing that bugs me was at the very end when they were done and I gave them their final check, I would see them but I wouldn’t see him for weeks. I gave him the final check and they were supposed to come by and fix a few little things and they never did. They never fixed this little electrical short thing that I had. They were supposed to fix something on my patio. They were supposed to do a 3 or 4 little things for me but after I gave the check, I never seen them again.
