This man is the most dishonest person I have ever met in my life. Anytime there is an issue and you bring it to his attention, he will lie and say we have already talked about that. He tried to charge more at the end of a project for services that should be included. I asked him to meet me and my husband to work out a solution and us all get on the same page. He responded that if I needed to sit down and discuss anything then he was done with the job and the contract was void. He came and picked up his equipment with a police escort later that day. He is a coward and his work is shotty. His word and character are no better than his work. He claims I keep changing things which is not true. I feel like as the homeowner, I am supposed to tell him what I want. He apparently had a problem with that. He used 1/2 inch plywood crap on our floors and bucked when I asked him to fix it at my expense. I literally said I will pay for the material and your time and he would not do it. He told me in Sep this job would be done by Halloween weeks went by and no one showed up. Terrible experience, job still not complete at end of Dec. please do not let this con do this to you!!

My wife and I hired Cogburn Construction to remove a small deck and build a very large deck on our home. Jared was able to work within our very thin budget. Even though he and his crew lives an hour away, they were there every single day that it wasnâ t raining or snowing. They understood exactly what we wanted and we feel that they went the extra mile to give us exactly what we asked for. The deck is 28 feet by 30 feet with two sets of stairs and a roof covering half of the deck. It is very well built, very solid and we could not be happier. I would hire Cogburn Construction for any building or renovation project I have in the future. I highly recommend this company.

Deck or Porch Repair
Hired them to paint a room, lay a floor--, put up three cabinets , install a sink, fix a hole in sheet rock and install baseboard with us supplying all materials. The paint, I had to keep reminding them there were holes which were not filled in. The piece of wall between two door casings still have paint on it ,and will have to be redone but not by them. They built a set of brick steps with our bricks-- two steps upon the porch that were so bad it had to be torn out and thrown away. They built a second set which was uneven and do not match the house has cement covering the bricks and on e brick has already fallen off. The back deck was at least a 3.5 foot wide step that is uneven, poorly built and holds water. Please note-- the bricks were leftovers from when the house was built. they have a bird print stamped in them and are irreplaceable. The trim mitered around the cedar posts on the back deck are not mitered properly or nailed. They said the job will take 3 to 4 days and they took almost 2 weeks.

"Hello Mr. Collins sorry that you feel this way, but let get one thing straight in this matter, I received a phone call from saying that you had filed a complaint with my company, that is fine, that is your opinion, but this is not correct at all, if at any time you was unhappy with my workmanship or the quality of work that my company performed for you, you as the homeowner should have said something while we were there to resolve the issue, you do not wait 2 weeks after the job is done and file a complaint. you also mentioned here in the comment that I am not able to come back, so there for I cannot fix what you say is wrong, and too, you gave me the remaining balance in full on our contract when I completed the work, so it sounds to me that you have spent more money than you should have and now you want me to refund you the $2,000 back when the job is already done and you are happy with it, I cant fix the issue if you will not let me back, that to me sounds like your just wanting your money back and I give you free labor for all the work that I did, you also mentioned that it took 2 weeks, correct it did, cause you and your wife kept adding things to be done to the list that I did not charge you for, so, you have opened your case, you have 48 hours to come to a resolution on this matter per, or I suggest you remove your comment from my profile, or legal action will follow on you, thank you and have a wonderful day."

Very clean with their work. Just did not finish the small details, like touch-ups and staining between the floorboards on the deck. Some wood still showing thru the stain in places.

I found Jarred and his crew to be timely and efficient. I had a deck and sunroom in need of substantial repair and modifications. I sought a contractor through HomeAdvisor and Cogburn Construction replied. Jarred and I scheduled a time for an estimate and he submitted a fair and favorable price for the job. My deck and sunroom look new and refreshed, better than they have for years. I would certainly hire Jarred and his company again and highly recommend them for your project.

Main project was to repair or replace about 16 feet of wooden railing on exposed porch, modify small entry gate. They did it professionally, even managed to use some salvaged pieces. Gate now sturdy, spring closes, and latches. Then they moved to 2 br. cabin and realigned small porch, replaced all deck wood. I added another project, adding new lattice wood around air conditioner to keep the fall leaves off. Price very reasonable and the workmanship again superior. I have their business card for the next need.

Hired Jared and his crew to replace an old wooden staircase from my deck to my patio. The results were incredible! They are very professional and were able to build my staircase in one day. They also were able to adjust and repair 2 fence gates, secure all of my old fence boards with screws and install a wooden partition next to my pool pump in order to cut down on the noise coming from the pump motor. The price we agreed upon was the price I paid; no surprises.. If you're looking to build some type of structure I think you'd be pleased with their work.

Jared called within a few days after I filled out the online profile for what I needed. Then came to our home 2 days later. Our job wasn t very big, repair to our front porch from water damage. They came to work on our porch for a day and a half and had the job finished. From the time Jared called to completion on the job was less than a week. The quality of work is excellent, and they left our porch clean. We ve got several projects to do and I ll definitely be calling Jared back!
