December 13, 2023 I made a call to Sveagle Plumbing requesting service at *** Pueblo, Colorado for sewage backup in downstairs laundry room and bathroom. After diagnosing the problem Sveagle said the problems were with the outside sewer lines and that they would need to be repaired. They gave me three options to choose from. There was a $9,000, 13,000 and $25,000 repairs. From my understanding they explained the $9,000 and 13,000 would only be temporary fix or as they stated a band-aid. The entire lines would eventually need to be repaired. From our understanding the $25,000 would replace the line up until the sidewalk. But as we later learned this was only a spot repair with and installation of two cleanouts. Regardless, I just wanted it fixed and wanted to stop the back ups. If it was going to cost $25,000 so be it as long as its fixed. Well after excavating my yard and nicking a water line (the city had to be called to shut off main line) we were told there were two more spot with damage in the sewer lines found closer to the sidewalk. Because of the location of the gas and water lines it was now going to cost an additional $29,000 to fix. They would only fix up until the sidewalk. They would have to hand dig because of the location of the gas line. Nothing was ever mentioned about pipes inside the home at this point. They dropped the additional $29,000 while my yard is completely torn up and still without use of our drainage system. Out of lack of knowledge and desperation we applied for loans on the spot to see if we could get approved. They had already gotten me approved with one of their lenders for the $25,000. So now they would get my girlfriend and I to apply for the additional $29,000. I talked with Mitch the owner and asked why was this such an expensive project? I have friends who live in the same neighborhood who had their outside sewer lines replaced for $6,000, $12,000, and some up to $20,000. But $54,000!!! He told me he did not want his company on the news for blowing up a neighborhood because of where the gas lines were located but was willing to give us a 10% discount. So the total is $49,347.00 plus relandscape and replace concrete border that was damaged. This project began December 18th or 19th. They rented a small excavator at first and then a much larger back hoe. The job was considered complete January 29th 2024. During the time period of December 18th 2023 and January 29th 2024, the main water line was nicked and they had to have city come out and shut it off, the yard and sprinkler system torn up, main water line shut off for over a period of 5 days, we had to find another place to stay over New Years weekend because of no water, and consistent back ups after they said everything should be flowing properly. February 4th 2024 we experienced yet another back up in our laundry room and bathroom. Chicken soup is now causing the back ups. The are now saying the inside pipes are bad and will eventually need replacement. On a side note, when I wrote a review for google rating them as one star service they showed up like the mafia asking me to take it down until the job was fully complete. As for payment, we felt a bit threatened to finish the application and approve the charges. They would send someone over if we did not activate the loan to help us out. At no point was a permit ever pulled for this job! Very unprofessional and will take advantage of vulnerable customers. Buyer beware!!
