Asphalt Shingle Roofing Installation and Replacement
They did not do what they promised:They installed the new roof at the beginning of Sept 2019. I was told that they installed both new roof and new window screen, and asked me to pay the money. I was not in Cary at the beginning of Sept. but trusted them and paid the money. However, when I came back to Cary in the middle of Sept, I realized that they did not install the window screen they promised, and asked them to do so. Every time I called them, I was told will do in a week But now it is Oct. 25, it is still not done.Also when they installed the new roof, the nail broke the natural gas line and led to the natural gas leakage. The police, fire truck, and gas company were called out to identify the issue. I do not trust them and do not recommend this company. They do not know how to treat the customer and how to do business. They do not know how expensive customer trust worth.

"Hello Xuedong. We realize that we ran into some obstacles getting your roof installed. However, it is unfair to give us a negative review for something beyond our control. In no instance whatsoever should a gas or electric line be installed where a roof nail could feasibly come in contact. This is carpentry 101. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience; however, it was not at all the result of improper installation by our crew. As for the window screens, we sent you multiple emails trying to get these scheduled as you have to be home in order for our technician to be able to replace them. As you stated above, you were out of town for quite a while, so we were unable to get this finished until you returned."

I needed my roof replaced due to weather damage. My representative, Vivek Puri, was very knowledgeable about the insurance claim process and he was present during insurance company's adjuster visit. He handled the process very smoothly, including explaining the claim process, getting it approved, selecting replacement shingles, arranging timely installation and follow up after the work. Overall, very excellent customer service and reliable company for home remodeling projects.

Colonial Remodeling and Ken Dinkel were excellent to work with, where other companies started and failed Colonial was able to pick up the roofing project and complete the project professionally and in a timely manner from start to finish. Highly recommend this company and Ken.

I really like the new front deck and portico for my townhouse. So do my neighbors! It's a unique design that takes into account some unusual space issues I have. It was worth having Colonial do all the legwork with the city for permits. The workers who did the demolition and those who did the rebuild were very good. Communication with Colonial was a little slow in the beginning; they said they'd have a landscaper call me and he never has, even after some reminding, but overall, I'm so glad I've had this project done. I picked Colonial because they're based in Arlington and are experienced with older, smaller properties.
