Colorado Construction Direct, LLC

We had Patrick Brunner come to our house and make large promises and guaranteed to deliver. What a joke! We hired Colorado Construction Direct on December 8th. We paid 1/2 down which was over 22k. In February our tile for the bathroom was in. I had to keep reminding that I didn't see a permit until he went and got one. March 14 or around that time he started demo and knocked a hole through into the bedroom. Plumbers installed a plug wrong so we had no hot water. Fast forward to April 28th.....bathroom hardly started and what work is done is far from looking nice. The bathroom pan was like the rocky mountains--we told Patrick we don't want his tile installer back in the house. At this point, we decided to hire a new tile guy to come in and look. We weren't surprised when he pointed out issues we were unaware of. The plumbing company calls me and tells me they are no longer associated with Colorado Construction Direct....red flags raise. But still willing to give a chance. May 30 I sent him a text explaining he has 3 days to provide us with an itemized receipt of all money spent. Patrick responds stating he will get us a check back and that he's clearly not able to provide the service he should be providing. June 13th-someone comes into our house from the lockbox that was on the garage door. Patrick says he didn't tell anybody to come get anything---his tile saw is gone...but left the key in the house. Nobody knew anybody was coming or even into the house. June 17....still no response... While all this was going on....we got a ton of excuses. While I feel bad because he lost a child, fell on ice-jacked up his back, kids were in and out of the hospital, had a stroke at 37 years old, mother was in the hospital.....It's no excuse not to communicate. And that being said, it seems he was always at the hospital for one reason or another. We gave him an out early because life happens. He didn't take it. Now we have to get a lawyer because of his inability to communicate. DO NOT TRUST!

I hired Patrick Brunner owner of Colorado Construction Direct, LLC. to repair flashing and siding of my roof, he was unable to perform the work on a scheduled time. I gave him a deposit for half of the amount of the contract. We had to hire another contractor. I asked to have my deposit returned and he has not returned my money. We are at the point of going to sue in small claims court. I would not recommend anyone to deal with this company!!!!

The owner/operator was prompt in responding to the request for onsite analysis and review of the project (as it related to wind storm damage); he was out the following day (high marks). The work seems to be quality (have to wait the test of elements for further satisfaction) and was done in a timely manner. The only constructive criticism I have is, the actual worker(s) or more importantly the "lead" supervisor, stated that he called the previous day to inform us of the intended work and "was unable to reach us" and just showed up. When he received no response to the supposed door knocking/door bell ringing; he then called the same number (that he previously said he couldn't reach us at) and when answered by us, proceeded to say that they might need access to the inside of the home. When questioned if he left a message, to inform us of the work/someone to be home; the answer was no. It's okay to leave a message, this day in age.
