Hired to review/approve building plans for a covered deck in support of a permit application. Very responsive and cooperative.

They're very responsive and they have taken care of my issues.

Hired to verify an interior wall was non-weight bearing. Engineer was prompt, kinds, and efficient.

They were very expensive for the job that they did.

I spent $250 on this evaluation. When checked, the wall is not a bearing wall, it can be removed. As a precaution, the framed area around it should be shored? They did not use any methods beyond knocking on the wall. Even worse, when they were here he commented that they could not know until the demo begins. The letter did not match what he told me. Beyond that, they looked around my house and pointed out two other areas they thought were concerning but when my house was inspected, the issues were not flagged. It seemed like they were fishing for bigger projects. All in all, it felt like a lie.

The project was replacing floor joists. Ahcene did not go into crawl space on the first site visit to inspect the structure. So, the first engineer report was not workable. On the second visit, his architect went into crawl space and advised Ahcene of structure. The 2nd report lacked details. Did not get the additional clarification/details I asked for. Was hung up on. Paid $450 upfront. Regret doing so. Will be filing a complaint with the BBB and taking firm/owner to small claims court.

Requested a verbal opinion if there was structural damage to the foundation of the house I am purchasing. And I received a verbal opinion.

Ahcene would not make changes or fulfill Denver permit requirements for the structural drawing. He delayed communicating with the city engineers. I had to repeatedly call him to contact the city for needed revisions. He seemed to be turning in the same drawings. After over a month of him not making the changes and poor communications, I had to find another engineer. The city said his drawings were not professional and lacking proper calculations. I initially was impressed because he came to view the project quickly and turned in the initial work promptly, however it was not quality work. I feel taken and saddened by my experience with Ahcene.

Ahcene (the Owner) came out the same day I called him. I was removing a structural wall and wanted to know what type of beam I needed to replace based on the load. He looked over my plans, reviewed the home and attic/basement areas. Within 4 hours I had a letter recommending the type and size of wood to use for my beam. Great service and great people!

I called them and everyone was else was a couple of weeks out. I caught these guys while they were in town and they took care of me that afternoon! I probably just got lucky but I was impressed!

Ahcene was quick to respond and prompt with the initial plans. However, I did need them to make corrections and remove the previous client's notations off my plans and customize the temple to my job.

Overpriced.

While this gentleman was very personable and willing to correct his errors, it was not worth the aggravation. He did not seem to know the building codes in Colorado Springs, and our contractor had to go over the plans with him several times before he actually got them right. I should have listened to my instinct when he called us and said he was available same day!

An experience engineer which made my project a lot easier to manage. Quick turnaround given whats happening in Denver. Always a return phone call in a timely manner and communication about your project felt valued.

Needed them to assess large white oak ,encroaching on the foundation.they arrived on time,were professional,sent the report,made recommendation. I am unable to assess the quality of their expertise since I have no knowledge of their profession,however,I was pleased with their assessment.as for the cost, $400.00 seamed a little steep for about 30 minutes on the property.
