I WOULD CERTAINLY RECOMMEND THEM TO EVERYONE AS THEY DID A FABULOUS JOB. HIRED THEM TO DO THE WORK AT MY SISTER'S HOUSE LAYING A NEW CEMENT WALK. SHE WAS SO VERY HAPPY THAT NO MORE RIVER JORDAN AT THE BOTTOM OF HER DECK STAIRS BECAUSE THEY PUT A DRAIN UNDER THE NEW CEMENT. GOT OTHER ESTIMATES BUT WE LOVED THEM THE BEST AND ALSO SAVED US A FEW HUNDRED DOLLARS , TOO!!!

Communication was lacking on what was going on..when they were planning on showing up. The overspilll of concrete after the forms were not removed was not picked up for several days...so i did it myself. The plastic trash can that i store my charcoal in was used as a trash container by them and the lid was left off and naturally it rained.The finished patio looks nice and hopefully will last several years.

Kim took her time and explained everything they were going to do. The bid was well written and included every detail. They were on time and completed the work in a timely, professional manner. The price was more than fair. Would definately recommend this company.

I chose Colvin Concrete. First off I checked a few of their work places and it was very satisfactory. I talked to a few people, they were happy with the work so I hired them. Due to the weather they started and had to quit, so it kinda stretched out from 3 days to about 6-7 days. The work was done very well.

The reason I chose the company was because I felt the person I had been communicating with (Kim) was the project manager. However, as time passed, It seemed that I was the project manager. I had to constantly contact the company to give them information regarding tthe project. The step was not as clean as I would have liked, the clean up process was not very good and they damaged my sidewalk where they were working. and never acknowledged it. Finally the Calumet City Inspectors asked the workers for their permit and they did not have it.
Response from Colvin Concrete, Inc.
"We had an issue with the size of the stoop, it was corrected before pouring. We were notified of sand left next to her garage at the alley. We went out right away to clean it up. Nothing was said about damage,we didn't see any damage to her walk. If we thought that something was damaged we would of fixed it ASAP. The permit was an oversight,the permit had lapsed.We corrected it ASAP."
