Half of my driveway completely failed. Cracks Cavens. Went to court. He said he would fix it and made it 10 times worse. 20? x 20? x 2 1/2? puddle that took four days to go away. Couldn?t even walk to the front of my truck. I now have a judgment that?s been going on for two years almost and he?s never done anything. I wouldn?t recommend him for anything. Please be careful of Howard Small. Who, is a minister!!!!! Preaching the word of God and then doing this shabby work and not standing behind anything. Shame on you, Howard.

DO not hire this guy Howard Small. He is the owner/operator and he does not do good work. His work looks great for a couple weeks and then it started to fall apart. He refuses to fix or standby his product or work. I have been asking him for 90 days to fix his work and he barely ever responds when he does he says he will fix it and NEVER SHOWS UP. This dude is a con artist.

They are quick and did good work.

They were knowledgeable and worked in unison very well with their team. Our project took four hours to complete and it went smooth. The price for what we paid was fair and I would spend it again for the quality we received. Definitely would recommend.

Had a problem with the mess they left after they finished. Called them back and they took care of it. I would recommend them if you need paving work done.

I really wanted to have a better experience with these guys, but this was the typical case of over promise/under deliver. I had approximately 400 sq.ft. of asphalt driveway that needed excavation and repair due to root intrusion and damage. There were also some other areas that needed some patching, maybe 4 or 5 the size of a dinner plate. I got the estimate for Huey Small (family company), and even though they were the highest of 3 estimates at $2,500, I went with them because he said he would take care of my distressed areas and patch everything and make it all look good. My first complaint was lack of base added once the excavation was done. The other estimates included 2" of compacted gravel. Huey indicated on his estimate "base added as needed", but I guess that means he did not need any base because none was added. None. Dirt and old chunks of asphalt were used as base in the areas that were excavated. I am not in the asphalt business, but that strikes me as a poor method. If I were putting down pavers, you would have to have a solid base and asphalt is a lot more porous and flexible. The patch was done in two areas, and some of the borders that were saw cut on the existing asphalt were torn by the front loader. No big deal, but certainly does not look great. My biggest complaint with the final asphalt patch is there is a low spot where it is about 1.5" below the surrounding grade, and that there are roller marks in the asphalt. At first I thought this was my car tire marks, but if you look at the lines, they are the exact width of their roller, not a car tire. The "patching" I was promised comprised of Huey holding the Sealcoat sprayer in place over the areas so it would puddle. This is not patching. The sealcoat did not dry and that's like adding a bead of caulk to a hole in drywall. It's an old driveway that will need full replacement soon, so I'm not that worked up about it. That patch is better than what was there for certain, but I did not get the job I was promised and that leaves a bad feeling for me. Too bad.

If they had done the job right I would feel a lot better. They have not addressed my issues.

They did an outstanding job they were quick and got the job done they came back before leaving to make sure that they did not leave anything behind and checked to see if everything looked good. I would recommend them to anyone.

The driveway job was good. They showed up on time. They were supposed to install a wood runner along the driveway however, once they were paid, they took off and as of now, this part of the job has not been done. They put the broken pieces of concrete behind my garage, leaving me with the problem of disposal. I was not informed of this beforehand. I cannot recommend them for the above reasons.

They came and did a quick job of parking lot iin our condo complex. Always prompt service, although they forgot about a few parking places, they promised to come back and do them

I rated them a 4 because the dump truck driver backed off the driveway and broke my irritation line and value bodies. Other than that they did a good job. Not the companys fault, just the driver.

Quick, less than 6 hours. Maximum recycling, put removed grass on dead spots in lawn, used the top rough original drive as fill, straightened the retaining wall, and used recycled crushed concrete for the topcoat. Looks great.

I think the "team" was very professional and well equipped. The process was well organized and the task was completed very quickly. I will recommend them as being well organized, well equipped and well accomplished.

Howard and his team were tip top. Everything I look for, they personify. Timely, communicate often, punctual, and professional in their work. If I have another asphalt job, I will not shop around. I will hire CPD.

These guys turned my ragged sixty foot long gravel driveway into an eight five foot long asphalt driveway in three hours! They operated like a well oiled machine. Each guy seemed to already know the next step in the process with very little discussion. They were cleaned up and gone by lunch, leaving only my new driveway. I would highly recommend Custom Paved Driveways.

Family owned and operated! Can't beat the prices and the customer service. Howard was amazing and kept me updated every step of the way. Some companies would've rushed the job to get it done, but Howard wouldn't lay the asphalt until the base layer had dried out from all the rain. I appreciate them doing things the right way in the beginning to ensure my driveway lasts longer. Oh, and it looks great too!

Owner meet me within hours of submitting request. Great crew, very personable, truly cared about the work they do. Politely took my ideas and made them better. Overall they paved 6200 sq feet in a very tricky property layout. Couldn’t be happier with end results!
