I had many issues working with Commonwealth Contractors. I would not recommend. If you do decide to choose Common Wealth I would recommend recording every single verbal conversation you have and have everything written down, in explicit detail. We signed a contract for a remodel of our basement and started in September 2022. The work started fairly quick but then became stagnant for months. A little bit of work would be done here and there to maintain the job so it would not be considered abandonment. It is now the end of February 2024 and its finally complete. It took roughly 17 months and the initial estimation was 3 months. There were many disagreements as to what work was to be completed and what was paid for in the initial contract, work was not completed per inspiration pictures with full details of expectations from the picture, and some work I felt was subpar for the amount of money spent. Communication was not that great for the majority of the project. I wrote a bad review on google and was immediately bullied to take it down. The operations manager contacted me and explained some issues had arisen with personnel. I think this personnel issue could have been solved if Site Leads were managed better. It should not take over a month to realize a Site Lead is not doing his job.

Lucas and Dillon were enthusiastic, responsive, knowledgeable, and creative throughout this whole process. We approached them with a file of basic drawings from a CAD program our son used during his engineering program at VMI. Lucas and Dillon were open to helping us take the basic layout and creating a portfolio of 3D renderings, and all other necessary blueprints and files for submission to a structural engineer for approval and then the ultimate goal to build the house. We worked with them over several weeks and they listened to the ideas and offered creative touches to complete the design. Both Dillon and Lucas are fast paced and most of the times they were waiting on us to give them answers to questions :) I would highly recommend Commonwealth Contractors LLC.

We had Commonwealth come build our new deck originally. This is a great group of guys to work with we had them back to install engineered hardwood floors to our home as well. Thank you!

Commonwealth Contractors, LLC is assisting me in starting up a large home addition, as well as some other work that I am looking to have done on my house. We are working close together to get through a short punchlist that I have put together. They have been a great help so far with everything.
