Community Chimney, LLC

Sergio and his Community Chimney team came to pull the old chimney liner and install a new one and install new inside pipes for a wood stove. They cleaned the stove window too, which was really blackened. It looks great! And the updraft is fantastic. They were professional, nice, the price was great, and the disruption was minimal. They were so quiet! I had this done long ago and I know how disruptive it can be. Everything was protected and totally cleaned up. They were amazing. Highly, highly recommend.

Our chimney suffered from years of water damage and required rebuilding. Sergio did an excellent job, even matching the oversized bricks that were used originally. And the price was 1000s lower than the other quotes we obtained. Would recommend highly.

This was a tricky project -- a brick wall that was falling over, possibly because of tree roots. Other firms had looked at it and were unwilling to get involved, or provided unsatisfactory proposals. Sergio came up with a sound plan and executed on it very effectively. The wall now looks great. The price was very reasonable. And the whole thing was taken care of quickly. Would rate them very highly.

Crumbling brick walk and steps. Owner was professional, knew what he was doing and explained the repairs thoroughly. Fixed the brick walk and steps by grinding out and refilling all the mortar joints not just patching up the cracked areas as had been done before. Cleaned up completely and moved large planters off and back on porch. Cost was quite reasonable. Best work I have had in Montgomery County.

Community Chimney responded immediately to my request through Home Advisor to schedule a visit to our home to provide a free estimate, and was onsite within a few days to assess the job requirements. During the visit, Sergio pointed out several items that he felt I should consider in scoping the job, all of which were sensible and appropriate. Their proposal detailed the cost of each phase of the work so I could down-select tasks as desired, The total proposed cost and estimated time to complete the work were very reasonable, and represented a much better value than what was proposed by estimates from other companies I consulted. After the start date for the job was postponed because of weather-related reasons, Sergio put more crew on the job than originally planned and completed the job in a single day (on Saturday!), without decreasing the scope of the job or increasing the cost. The company drilled-out and replaced approximately 40 spalling bricks from the face of our two-story home, including some that were very hard to access, and rebuilt the top of one of our chimneys after removing an old television antenna. They also installed stainless steel covers on each of our two chimneys, Afterwards, Sergio walked around the job site with me pointing out what they had done and where. The work was pleasing in appearance and complete, and all debris was picked up and removed from the property.

Sergio and his team repaired our chimney, including the liner, plus slate replacements on our roof. Very professional, extremely good work for a very reasonable price. All the things you could want with a major home repair.
