Pete Perkins is a liar and a cheat. He is purely a salesman and has no intention of completing his existing jobs. All he cares about is securing the next cabinet sale. We have been dealing with Pete for 18 months at this point and still have not received cabinets parts that were order 15 months ago. If you are lucky enough to get Pete on the phone, he will make up some excuse and deflect blame. Most times you cannot even get him on the phone because he will screen your call. I have had to call him from random numbers just to get him to pick up. Pete shows no remorse for his actions. Take it from my experience, its worth paying a little more $ to not have to deal with this scumbag.

Find someone else! This is the same guy from Kitchen annex..... Nothing professional about this guy. Completely unorganized everything that was done in my house has to be redone. They ruin my tile floor . HIS plumber flooded my house once HIS Carpenter flooded my house a second time. HIS Plaster RE-did the work three times and it still looks horrible...(the work on the second floor looks great not sure what happened on the first floor). I am still waiting for my spice rack and my extra big drawers for my kitchen. He still has not installed my hood. The contract end date was weeks ago. And Pete P. went dark probably because he got all his money. So I guess he does not think it is important to close out the permit or fix all his wrongdoings. This guy has nothing but excuses, lame excuses.

The contractor is great, very responsive, prices excellent, quality excellent. Timeliness not so good, mostly due to his plumbing subcontractor who was terrible. Regarding his plumber: Significant delays, missing simple parts, no water in the kitchen for two weeks. Didn't finish. Definitely hire Compass again, but will challenge his subs.

Petes lack of communication skills is profound. I specifically requested that my new stove not be vented but I get home and contractors are putting holes in my garage. I have had an issue with the new kitchen for months and I have never received a call from Pete since the project finished. I have called him 20 times since then and when he does pick up all I get is excuses. I strongly recommend that you do not hire him.

"This was a very large remodel project that did take a significant amount of time. For much of the project the client was overseas, so some communication was difficult however we have not had any warranty or quality callbacks. This project was completed in 2017, so we were surprised to see a review in 2019 from this client. We are reaching out to see if there are any open concerns."

Pete is extremely responsive. Always on top of any issues that arose. Very good value for the money. Came in right at budget. No surprises. We love our new kitchen. He was a pleasure to work with. Very skilled employees. Would highly recommend him for any in home project. I never give anybody a 5 star but he deserves it.

They were very professional throughout all 3 jobs that they did for us. We ran into some slight delays but they were on top of it and got it figured out. I would recommend them to others.

"This project was a full apartment remodel. We did a new kitchen, two new bathrooms, and installed flooring throughout the home. The homeowner had a concern about the flooring installation by the flooring company we used, and we went back and did some work and provided an extended warranty on the flooring. We have not heard back as far as continued questions. The rest of the project was beautiful, and done quickly so she could move in on time. I only wish the flooring concerns were alleviated. As owner, I provide general oversight for every project, and assign my staff different roles, and only wish I could be at every job everyday, but I have professionals who handle each aspect of the project and I believe we do a very good job weaving it together. I only hope the best for this client and we will always be here to back up our product and our warranty if needed."

We did a kitchen remodel including counters, backsplash, appliances and opened up a wall between our kitchen and dining room. Project was started right after Thanksgiving 2016 and was completed late January 2017. I enjoyed working with Pete Perkins. He's a great guy, easy to like and pretty easy to work with. His subs were also nice guys though sometimes it was apparent that they didn't quite have the details of the project communicated to them. That's where the one star deduction comes in. My impression is that Pete pretty much manages every project on top of developing new business, which means that he's stretched pretty thin and projects aren't always managed efficiently. Our project took a lot more of my time as I felt had to be onsite whenever a sub was scheduled to show up to ensure that important details were communicated. There were also some sanfus along the way. To his credit, Pete owned them and took the financial hit. If you are considering hiring Pete it is important to know that he communicates almost solely by text message and is very responsive but don't expect emails to be answered. Also, don't assume that something you said in a conversation is retained. Reconfirm all your plans and decisions by text message so you have an audit trail to refer back to. Alls well that ends well. We have a beautiful new kitchen and we would definitely work with Pete again.

Overall, we are very happy with the results and the timeframe it was completed. Of the companies we received estimates from, Compass was definitely the most engaged. We had a tight timeline due to a baby coming in the near future and they easily met it. The coordination of all of the specialists was very good and there was not much confusion, which can often be the case. Price was pretty much exactly what was estimated. Special mention of Vlad, who took immense pride of workmanship and service in the overall project and made us feel like there was someone looking after the general quality of the remodel. Would recommend for any type of kitchen work.

In the start it was slow, there wasn't anything done for 3 business days. This delay caused anger. But later the owner worked very hard and explained me the process. Every day Pete sent me message about the daily process. Up to now except the first 3 business delay I'm happy the work was done by Compass Solutions, LLC. Its owner Pete is really kind man and he is working hard to make the things done.

I had no issues with the workers but the owner was horrible!! We agreed on a price, he didn't get in writing. And after he kept bumping up the price!

"Unfortunately this homeowner has a very old home and we only added critical change orders needed to complete the work. The price for this project went up about $500, on a $12,000 budget. The budget was tight, and we tried not to add anything but it was impossible, but we did the best we could. Additionally, the comment regarding not getting a price upfront is false, of course every project is quoted in a very detailed manner, this is our practice and we're the only company that I'm aware of that actually does that. we pride ourselves on this fact"

They have not started work yet . It will begin in January. Pete Perkins and his designer Lynn have bent over backwards to come with affordable ideas for kitchen. So far they have done everything in a timely manner. I expect the work will be the be done perfectly. Btw. The other two companies that were recommended contacted me once and that was it. Pete contacted me by email then texted me and then made a phone call. He was never pushy but I knew he wanted the job and was willing to do the work to get it.

The owner showed up with his contracting foreman for the deposit while saying the forman will be here every day. The fact was the Forman never showed until the end and he was so disgusted with the work he wanted to be taken off the job. Without standing right over the help the quality was horrible ( pictures). Don't trust anything he says. He talked me out of holding back money for his final cleanup then he never showed. I texted him at least 4 times. Four months of unnecessary hell.

"We don't believe that this is our customer. We do not recognize the name and address and we don't have a foreman structure. We are investigating this. We worked for a Bill O. in Westwood and we did a full kitchen remodel but this work was done in the fall / winter of 2014/2015 and we remain friends to this day and they have been a great referral source for us."

Worst contracting experience. You have to stay on them to get the work done. They never do what they say and work was not good quality. Counter people left leaving electrical outlets and wires sitting un installed. Counters were chipped and bad sealing was done. They only time they are prompt is when they want your money after the project.

"We were contracted to install a new countertop only. We tried to make it clear to the homeowner that electrical and plumbing were not included. the homeowner was mad that our countertop installer would not fix his electrical, which would not only have been dangerous but would not have been covered by our insurance. This misunderstand led to the homeowner being upset and not willing to pay us. There was a small chip at the seam which we fixed as soon as we were told about it. We never did get paid, 50% deposit only. We did not pursue them"

A small kitchen remodel which I was told would take a few days, took over 4 weeks. They would do one days worth of work, not show up for a week and continue the pattern. I had to pester and call repeatedly to get them to come and do their job. I would stay away unless you have a $80,000 job which they clearly prioritize.

This company installed granite counter tops for me that are beautiful and the best price on the market. There were a few mistakes made along the way that were immediately addressed and dealt with. I would give them 5 stars but the mistakes didn't need to happen. Pete, Fernanda and the install crew were all very nice to work with. I definitely would hire them again and refer them to others.
