Chimney Cleaning and Inspection
I heard the metal scrapping hard against my gutter and as you can see in the photo below he did a horrible job capping it off. At the end of the day he wanted to talk to me about music and his gigs. This was because I mentioned my son plays guitar, he saw the guitar while working. Maybe quit your day job Mike??
After and hour a two he calls me into the basement and says the liner didn't fix the negative pressure issue. I said ok, what else does he think is causing it. After another two hours I can see is tired and now says he is going to leave... even though I still have the same issue and honestly even worse.
When I reached out months later and the issue not resolved and I was desperate for him to offer some sort of help even if he needed to call a peer. He sent a nasty message and suggested I seek out someone more qualified.
Avoid this crook at all costs and honestly I'm disappointed in CJM for putting me in touch with this guy.

We contacted Complete Chimney in October of 2021 for a water leak from our chimney into the bedroom fireplace. They came out, provided an estimate and we hired them for the repair in early December. They recommended a new chase cover to fix the water intrusion. Fast forward to April 2022, 5 months after the work had been completed. We experience the exact same leak in our fireplace. We contacted Complete Chimney to inform them the water leak had clearly not been fixed. They came over and said it was "all tight". After I expressed I was unhappy with the issue not being resolved, Complete Chimney became very confrontational and started blaming other areas of the roof for the leak. Areas which were not an issue only months ago when Complete chimney provided their chimney inspection. We contacted another certified Chimney company for a full inspection and another opinion. They have documented the chase cover was not installed correctly and is the direct source of the water intrusion. After informing Complete Chimney of this they have chosen not to respond to us and will clearly not stand behind their work. Their poor workmanship has rendered our chimney useless, and made the water leak worse. The issue persists and our chimney now lives with a tarp covering it. Please take this word of caution seriously when considering hiring Complete Chimney for any service. We regret hiring them and are out several thousand dollars. We believe not standing behind your work and ignoring customers is a direct indication of how this company operates.

"As explained to Michael, the prefab zero clearance chimney was constructed incorrectly from the start As the chimney pipe ended 7?s from the top opening & below the screened covered 30?x30? opening ( this is where a stainless steel chase cover is generally installed) he did not have a chase cover nor storm collar but since the chimney pipe was below the top there was no way for these to be installed. This was the obvious area for water intrusion to enter directly, Michael had lied to his insurance company to win his claim as he had called me after 5 months and 16 rainstorms later stating he once again saw signs of water intrusion, I went to"

Had we known Complete Chimney was with Home Advisor, we would have hired Mike Doran through this agency rather than independently. He was subcontracted by our pool service, and, 5 weeks into the installation, he said to me and my spouse, If you want this job done correctly, it is going to cost twice as much. Though we begged in writing to get a contract and an itemization of services, none was ever provided. Mike Doran then verbally attacked us over the telephone. Terminated and Reported for Unethical Business Practices, Negligence, Extortion of Services, Consumer Fraud, and Verbal Abuse to: New York State Attorney General #1-371056982 Federal Trade Commission #147850938.

If you are a contractor & either this man or his partner contacts you be aware I ( first time in 25 years of service have I ever had to do this with any of my customers) put a mechanics lien on there home and are suing them for payment in the town of Lagrangeville, NY court date is July 12th 4:00 All work provided was to manufacture spec code requirements with only UL- list vent pipe and connections. Aqua pool service ( highly rated company as well) filed a Machanic?s l"

Mike and his assistant came to my house to sweep the chimney and while there noticed that something with my heater needed to be fixed. Hefixed the problem. I would highly recommend Mike. Very knowledgeable and explains what needs to be done.

The service was good. I was not the home owner at the time. I was a tenant--Mike was very nice and informative. He also went the extra mile to patch up a crack near the chimney, which was not part of the job.
