Concrete America

Concrete crack after a few weeks. Also had to call numerous times to find out when they would finish.

Concrete looks good the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because I asked for a small ramp at the end of the slab. The ramp was more of a dig out and not what I wanted other than that it looks great.

They were a very punctual, respectful group of men that came, did the job and made sure I was satisfied with it. I will be hiring them again for my patio.

Shawn, Patrick and his crew did a remarkable job under bad weather conditions. They completed the removal of my old driveway and install of a 3 car driveway with a curb to my highwall side of the yard. The crew was professional and respectable of my family and premises. I would highly recommended this company!!!!!

We hired Concrete America to remove a single car driveway and poor a double car concrete driveway for our rental home. We also had them remove a small wooden deck and pour a concrete patio in the backyard (including steps from the house to the patio). We made most of the arrangements over the phone/e-mail from California. Shawn returned phone calls in a timely manner, provided detailed estimates, and took care of the permits. I told Shawn re-routing water away from our home was my top concern as our home sits just slightly below street level. Our street does not have curbs or storm sewers for water runoff. This condition causes water to rush down our driveway and into our garage. After the first rain it was evident the drain was not large enough to handle the amount of water diverting from the street. Knowing my original concern with drainage, Shawn returned to install a four inch drain at no cost. Shawn went the extra step to make things right and we're happy we went with Concrete America.

Still awaiting the final sealing application before i make final assessment. There is still some cleanup work to be done to smooth out the rough edges. Cleanup was less than I expected. most debris placed in my trash cans.

We used to have an ugly moldy standard 10x10 concrete patio that was cracked in half and sinking into the ground. We hired Concrete America to come out and not only replace but enlarge our backyard patio space. Shawn came out broke up the old patio one day, laid the forms the next and had the concrete poured a day later. The whole crew worked fast and worked hard to give us the best patio possible. He even made me a small pad on the side of my house so I could create a rain barrel system for my garden. My next door neighbor is thinking of enlarging his driveway space and you better believe he's going to have Concrete America take care of it.

Sean did a wonderful job and was prompt and helpful. I would do business with them again.

We hired Concrete America to install a stamped patio in our slopped backyard. We new this was going to have drainage issues and we needed someone that could handle this type of work. We are very happy with the patio however it did turn out to be a lot higher at the edge than we had expected it to be which has left us with a little more work to be done than we had thought. We also had some trouble getting it scheduled with the weather being very rainy and Sean having unexpected travels . The yard was so wet that they ended up leaving quite a mess from having to haul the heavy concrete across the yard. Overall they did a good job and we would recommend them to someone else.

the quote changed half way through but by a reasonable amount. they use a small trailer to haul away concrete so there prices are a little bit higher. you may also want to watch there work as they left some pieces behind. just shows they don't do final walkthroughs.

overall experience was positive. the only reason the stars are where they are at is because the job was just finished and only time will tell the tale. but the job looks good and they are easy to work with

Truly great custom contractor, a great price and the entire driveway and patio came out great. I get many compliments and requests for his card.

Very frustrating experience. Horrible communications from the owners. Missed appointments, no call, no show, delay, delay, delay. Project was finished over a month past its projection.

Overall, I'm very satisfied with the work performed.

These guys did a GREAT job! Very professional and easy to work with. They did what they said they were going to and did it well. Shawn was very good to work with. Got the estimate done and within the same week work was done. Would definitely recommend them to others!! Totally satisfied with quality of work and workers.

Concrete America is a very good company and well worth the price. The did a first rate job for us laying the concrete. We are just waiting for the backfill work to be accomplished. Overall I would recommend this team to anyone.

Very accommodating to my wife's needs. She had some last minute adjustments and Shawn met them.

Sean, as POC for this company lacks communications and connectivity skills to keep the customer informed. He waits until the last minute to reschedule work three times. He uses excuses such as working a job in Newport News for his lateness to pick up his cell phone and call. Although they profess professionalism, They cemented a screw-in cap to a drain line that took them 30 minutes of chipping to break loose the cap. Once they are on the job, they are dedicated in doing it well. They responded to my requests for change. Coordination and scheduling was the big problems.

Started project on Friday left the yard a mess. Boards and piles of dirt on the yard which left dead spots. After the project was complete. back patio shows rock and It will wash away when it rains. The owners response was I had to buy dirt and fill it in. and also the driveway and sidewalk was left with 2 inch gap along each side. Not filled in. I had to buy dirt to fill in so nobody breaks their ankle. I had to call and have him return to pick up all the cement and bricks that was left all over my yard. Left the street a mess from the slurry. He did clean up somewhat. May be good on small jobs but not professional job for large projects
