Great workmanship. The contractor was methodical and performed the concrete work in a professional manner. They were clean and replaced all property back in place after work was finished, real professionals.

Worst experience with any contractor I have ever had. Requested a bid with work detail for a concrete patio in January, hired him 2/7/2018. Paid him full amount. Work was partially completed 3/22/2018. I live in NY and so thankful we had responsible tenants checking the work. He attempted to shortcut the job in every way imaginable not to mention how long it took. They were not going to use rebar, they were not going to excavate. I had to make many phone calls, text messages for every detail of this job. Concrete was finally poured. I had to ask them to remove the form. As I was trying to get them to begin this job, he gave us the phone number to the man he had hired to perform the work. It was very clear that what he had stated in writing was never communicated to the person actually performing the job. They've now walked away from the job and left my backyard a complete mess. No cleanup was done. My tenant hired on his own workers to complete much of the work before concrete was poured. In addition to the money we gave him I had to pay an additional amount to the concrete company since he would not honor his quote completely. When I asked about the cleanup to my yard (which is part of any job) he tried charging me an additional $200. Do not hire this man. Used car salesman and dishonest.
Response from Concrete Ideas, LLC
"Unfortunately, this was an unpleasant experience all around. In the beginning, Ms. [consumer name withheld at their request] had another bid and asked us to reduce our price to match it and we did. It turned out that the other bid was from her tenant and he did everything he could to undermine our work. Ms. [consumer name withheld at their request] began calling and asking for additional specifications, presumably at the urging of her tenant. We spent additional time and manpower to accede to her demands for deeper perimeter beams. Our workmen showed up to pour concrete and found the forms totally changed around by the tenant so that the concrete pour could not be done that day. Add to that a rainy mon"

Contractor laid out the project well-extended existing patio. Threw in extras-- two ADA ramps. Work began almost right away and the project was completed within three days. Concrete will cure over next week but workmanship appears good. I would recommend Concrete Ideas for your projects.
