From first contact to completion of the project, this was an outstanding experience. A new deck was needed and this team not only helped us design the deck, but they also professionally installed it. From sales (Ryan) to the project leads (Nick and Lucas) to the installation team (Diago's team), everyone was extremely professional and friendly. The deck is solidly built and will be a great source of pride for us for a very long time. I highly recommend this company to anyone needing exterior work done on their homes.

We have just completed a pool at our 2 year old home. The treated pine back stairs and deck were not holding up well and I had mentioned to a friend that I was interested in replacing the deck and stairs with composite materials. My friend recommended that I speak with Contract Exteriors, as he had just seen some similar work they had done on Daniel Island. Contract Exteriors blew my expectations away, I would give them 10 stars out of 5 if I could. The level of skill in the carpentry is exceptional, I have never seen such perfectly cut mitre joints. Onsite supervisor Jeff Jones is terrific. We are already talking about having Contract Exteriors replace our front steps when the time comes.

Review for contract exterior– Contract Exteriors replaced our windows with new trim inside and out and our old vinyl siding with Hardie Plank. The result was amazing! Very hard-working crew. *Lucas with Nick (being a great a Project manager) followed up daily with walk-throughs and next step information. The price was reasonable and work was completed prior to the estimated timeframe. Thank you for making us feel like we’re in a new home.

***Warning, Warning***Caution, Caution***: DO NOT ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THIS BUSINESS. After 3 failed town inspection reports and unwillingness to cover all rework costs for their lack of quality workmanship and non-compliance damages, we are stuck paying a bill 50% higher than the original contract amount. Unsupervised crews, 3 project leads quit, and fails to pay subcontractors after they pocket your money. Please heed this warning. It's a game. They perform crap work, ask you to sign an agreement to release their liabilities at an amount so low and below justified costs its unbelievable. Think of this, if they settle and you can not call out their poor-quality workmanship how does the BBB ever rate this business accurately? Just think of this when accomplishing further research on them! Stay away! Attached is just one pic of many of poor workmanship. Finishing nails used to hold up our stairs!!

The quality workmanship of the crew was evident from day one. However, customer service by the project management was something else. Our project was nearly completed... only 2 small finishing tasks to go. Both tasks could have been completed in 2 hours or less. A month and a half later they were finally done! Luckily, I stayed on top of them with constant texts, emails, phone calls, and even an in-person visit to the office. Constant promises to come this Friday or the first of **next week** were always given but never delivered upon.

I hired Contract Exterior in August 2020 to replace a skylight that had been leaking but had since been repaired, as well as to replace two attic vent fans that were older and not functioning properly. As of July 2021 (10 months later) I have a leaking skylight and only one working fan. The contractors that showed up to do the work threw garbage in my pool as well as tossing chicken bones in my yard where my dogs could have choked on them. After reviewing the security video footage with the project manager, he assured me they would not be doing any more work on my project. The work itself: The framing of the skylight itself was terrible with nothing being square, and the structural nails being nailed into the drywall. It was a mess. After e-mailing the manufacturer of the skylight Velux and confirming that it was not installed correctly, they sent out new contractors to redo the framing. As for the vent fans, one of the fans was installed all dented up, and neither of them worked as installed. They agreed that they would order a replacement for the dented fan. When I called back the first time I noticed the leaking window in March, the project manager admitted that he had forgotten about the fan, and would get it ordered. Several contractors showed up to caulk the skylight, but none of those repairs stopped the leak. In April another set of contractors was sent out, and they replaced the dented fan with a new one, but they did not hook up the electric. In May, Contract Exterior sent out another contractor to take a look at the skylight, and that contractor told me that it looked like it was not installed correctly. In June I got a single e-mail saying they would try to send someone out to fix the skylight, but that never happened. They have gotten harder and harder to contact, with an answering service taking messages for them, and no one returning calls.

Put down payment Dec 1. Waited three-four months for work to begin no communication. I called regularly trying to receive information. They did great work once they were here. The final problem was the clean-up of the work site. The project manager had to finish it up.

Dependably is bad, they are a very poorly run company. I would never advise anyone to hire this company.

We had a deck replaced (down to the joists) with composite decking, side rails and base enclosure. The installation crew was thoroughly professional and efficient. All the joists were covered in waterproof tape before the decking was installed. Not only was the distance between planks carefully measured, the location of every single screw was also precisely measured. The result overall is a "show-stopper," even better than I had expected. The price was on the high side, so I wavered on the rating of "value for money," ultimately going with the "value" end.

They were very professional! The roofing quote & warranty details were presented in an email & in a paper folder with every detail covered. Responded to all questions quickly. They offered the most reasonable price for the job. The crew was careful of our property & cleaned up after themselves. Came by & reviewed the finished product for any questions or concerns. Excellent service! Lauren is extremely helpful. Highly recommended!

Total professionals - no hidden surprises, detailed contracts with finish dates, superior materials expertly used, crews are hardworking and proficient, immediate responses and remedies and extraordinary knowledge of products and solutions. Could not ask for a better company.

The Hardie Plank installation went very well. They crews were finished with the work faster than I thought they would be. It looks great and we have received many complements on it.

Hired them paid them half down They never showed up to do job. Trying to get my money back. Not a dependable or trustworthy company Would never recommend them to others. Beware

Installed a small, ground level deck which was well constructed. Due to simplicity of project, I feel price was on the very high end. However, they were able to get it done within about three weeks.

Roofing experience

We were extremely pleased with the professionalism and efficiency of the roofing team. They showed up on time, were diligent regarding removal of old roof and pick up of nails, and did the roof in sections, so that weather would not be a factor. The job was done as it was explained to us up front, so we knew what to expect. Our supervisor, Patrick, followed up with the crew and us daily. He has even followed up with us since the completion regarding some questions we had. He delivers top notch customer service and communication. Thank you for a job well done!

Hired these people twice. First time took over 3 months to complete a siding and roofing job. But gave them the benefit of the doubt due to a lot of weather factors, supplier issues and a myriad of other excuses. Work OK. Hired again to replace some wood trim with Harditrim. Price was exorbitant, taken over three weeks for a -- 1 day job-- their assessment. No end of excuses. Came repeatedly on days I specifically said they could not (Fridays), and worst of all, the quality is horrible. Could have hired much better at the home appliance store for less than half the cost. Will not use again.

I specifically asked for at least one English speaking worker and they said there would be one. Not one of the workers spoke English. This is why I gave them a 3.
