Reviews
Write a ReviewI've worked with Jason in the past and as always he did a great job with the installation of our fire sprinkler system for a new construction build in Redwood City. I highly recommended Control Fire's services and I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.
I would not recommend him.
We were contacted by Jason for a bid to install a fire sprinkler system in our residence. The original bid he provided was for $9000 which he reduced to $8000 on our request. We informed him that we needed this job done ASAP as we were significantly delayed on our home remodel. He was extremely courteous and professional during the bidding and the finalizing the contract process. Once we signed the contract and asked him for dates on installation he completely changed his tune and said it's going to take a minimum of 3-4 weeks. The interaction went from "we will be lucky to get your business" to "you cannot dictate/ask me to change my schedule". The contract also called for paying him $800 upfront so that he could start the design work. We asked him to send us his bank details so that we could transfer money immediately and not incur any delay and he told us that he would send the invoice. However he didn't send any invoice and instead followed up by sending us an email a few days later saying he was stopping all work and we should not contact him unless we pay the $800 for design as per contract. Since we had received no invoice from him we requested/pleaded with him to please send us his account info so we could make an instant deposit and he would not have to hold up the work. This was a Friday and he did not respond to us till Monday evening with more of the threatening emails. After this we decided that we did not want to deal with someone who was so unprofessional and unreliable and wildly aggressive in his tone of emails and conversations. Also if we had paid him through an invoice, it would have taken a week to get him the money and another significant delay. Even though we were not going to continue with him and have seen no evidence of the work that he claimed he had completed (plans to be submitted to the Fire Department) we agreed to pay him the $800 to just stop having any further communication from him. But the behavior doesn't end there. A couple of days after we sent him a snapshot of the bank transfer confirmation in an email he sent us an email with his attorney copied on it asking him to initiate legal proceedings and to put a lien on the property. We had to write yet another email to him that because he had not provided his account info the bank had mailed the check and it takes time to receive it. All this was already mentioned in the first email and we again had to send him the snapshot of check received. We are getting our house remodeled and have worked with several contractors and while we have dealt with several issues we have not come across anyone so unprofessional and rude. He did not have any problem taking the money and producing no work while displaying extremely obnoxious behavior. We are sharing this review so other homeowners don't have to go through an experience like this with his business. It has caused us extreme stress and mental anguish to have to go through this experience.
Responded quickly to my query about connecting the water supply to our previously installed sprinklers; price seemed reasonable for the job; scheduled the work conveniently; showed up on time; completed the job in the expected 2 hours and it looks clean and professional
Scheduled very quickly. Tech came on time & got the additional fire sprinkler installed very quickly and professionally. Only thing tech or manager did not warn that water had to be shut off for 2 hrs for pvc glue to set.
Very professional.
We are so happy to hear that you were pleased; we really appreciate your business. Thank you, MGMNT
