"Thank you for taking the time out of your day to leave a review. Our flat rate pricing for a cooler checkup includes oiling the bearings as well as performing a thorough inspection of the cooler to suggest ways to prevent future breakdowns as well as helping the cooler perform more efficiently. These were not standard access coolers as they are 10 feet above ground on the side of the buildings without a platform to stand on and all work being performed on a ladder. We did not charge extra for this. We also included spraying out the entire cooler getting all mud and debris out, which is not normal of just a checkup, at no additional charge but taking the extra time and labor to do so. The cooler in question did have a bad float, allowing water to flow freely from the overflow drain and through a hose that went underground. This was costing you money in wasted water and is not environmentally friendly as we live in a desert. Replacing the float was one of the recommendations we brought up to your attention that needed addressed and was approved by you. It was at this time you could have declined ALL of the recommendations. The extra work that was approved by you requires more labor to be paid to the tech as well as paying for the quality part that we use so that you don't have to worry about a bad float for years to come. All of our prices are flat rate and here's what that means. We take into account how much it costs us to pay a tech (wage plus up to 30% for taxes etc.), cost of the part, calculate our overhead in percentage, calculate how much it costs to advertise in a percentage (the lead from Home Advisor costs money), and all of the smaller items that add up to the cost of doing business, including being licensed, bonded and insured for $2,000,000 so if anything were to happen while on your premises, we are covered and don't come after you. Sure, this job could have been cheaper by doing it yourself or from someone off of Craigslist who doesn't have a legitimate business, but what you paid for was a piece of mind that the job will be done right and that you don't have to get on a ladder 10 feet in the air."
