He asked for half up front for materials. I gave 3 checks for $5537.00 total. After taking my money he never showed with the materials or did a days work. I contacted the police. They told me it is a civil matter. Now I have to hire an attorney for money to try to get my money back. This guy is a con artist. I will be sure to warn everyone of this guy.

I believe the owner is a kind person and was very accommodating in the beginning but I cannot recommend him after how the project ended. Everything started well and I even hired him to do additional work and add it to the current project. His contract stated 50% down and 50% upon completion. However, when we were near the end of the project, he said he wanted 90% of the money because he felt he had completed that much of the work. I told him I was not comfortable with that and offer 70%, but he said he would only accept 100% or 90%. That sounded like a demand, so I wrote the check and hoped for the best. Not a few seconds after he got the check, he said he would not be back until the following Saturday at the latest. Later, that turned to Sunday which did not work for us. During that week, I noticed the drywall he had done was bubbling and peeling off and the shower door he hung for us was leaking. I texted him about that but was only told that he would check out the shower when he came back. A few days went by without communication and when he finally did get back to me, he indicated that he was managing several projects and was trying to work out a time to get back. That was very frustrating and concerning. Now, I am paying another person to finish his job and fix his work. I still think he has a good heart but I cannot recommend a business that does that.
