Cosgrove and Sons did a great job with our major kitchen and first floor re-model. They really helped with the design and implementation phase and the end result has been great.

We found this company on HomeAdvisor site. Lisa worked with us on the design and went shopping with me to pick out the supplies. Felipe, the supervisor and lead worker along with his crew did a super job to implement the design. The bathroom is so gorgeous and the job was finished on time and on budget.

The design work and help picking out materials and colors was excellent. The work was completed quickly and the workmanship was too notch. This was toward the high end for cost but definitely worth it. Lisa made the design work for my old kitchen and made The material selection pleasant while getting me to consider colors and options I wouldn't have thought of myself producing an excellent result. The workers were very nice and courteous. I will use them again for an upcoming bathroom remodel project.

Lisa helped me change a very ugly bathroom into something wonderful! Her ideas were wonderful, and she really helped me narrow down the choices. Felipe and Sue did the work with precision, good humor, punctuality - all the qualities you would want from a good company. I would want them to work on any future projects with Cosgrove. I couldn't be happier!

We hired Cosgrove & Sons to handle a major renovation for us in the fall of 2015. They did a FANTASTIC job. We were very pleased with the quality of their work, which involved gutting the first floor of our old colonial, opening up walls and adding beams for structural support, building a brand new kitchen, adding a new powder room, and installing new windows, doors and wood flooring. We were also thrilled that they completed the project on time, in 10 weeks from start to finish. Phillip Cosgrove was our project manager, and he was excellent. He was on-site every day and did the bulk of the work himself with the assistance of one, sometimes two other employees, who were also great. He managed the various subcontractors and vendors who were needed for plumbing work, electrical, appliances, etc. He interpreted the architect’s plans and didn’t balk when we asked for a few changes mid-way through the project. When we encountered unexpected issues in the house (rotted wood, vents in odd places), Phillip and Steven Cosgrove helped us come up with solutions and kept the project moving. We didn’t live in the house during the renovation, but we stopped by almost every day and were impressed with how they contained the mess associated with a gut job and minimized disruption to our neighbors. We encountered a few bumps along the way (some miscommunications, some extra costs), but ultimately everything was handled professionally and to our satisfaction. It’s been almost four months since we moved back into the house, and we couldn’t be more delighted with the new space that Cosgrove created. We are very glad we hired Cosgrove for our renovation and would not hesitate to hire them again for future projects.

This was my very first remodeling. I had them install kitchen cabinets and countertop. The team was very pleasant and timely. They were efficient in their performance. The outcome of the project was great. I was kept abreast of what was going on and was asked questions. I also asked questions that were clearly explained to me without hesitation. The team was very clean, always cleaning up behind themselves. This was a great first time experience.

Cosgrove and Sons recently completed a complete renovation of our master bathroom. We had been planning this renovation for a few years and had gotten bids and plans from two other contractors, but were never able to come up with a plan which reflected what we really wanted done. After working with Stephen Cosgrove, we designed an Asian influenced bathroom which was just what we had envisioned and hired Cosgrove and Sons for the renovation. Cosgrove and Sons gutted our old bathroom, installed a new subfloor, tiled a wall, the floor and shower enclosure, moved a floor vent, installed recessed lighting, did electrical and plumbing work, installed a new tub, vanity, vanity lights and mirrors, faucets, towel heater, ceiling fan, toilet with washlet seat, hung up shelves and robe hooks, built a custom shower, built recessed wall niches for the shower and tub and painted the ceiling and walls. No subcontractors were used; the work was primarily done by two Cosgrove employees, Felipe and Miguel. They did a fantastic job. Felipe was careful to explain how things were being done and always consulted with me about any issues. Both workers were very polite and professional, cleaned up after themselves, and as a bonus, were nice to my dogs! The only real issue during the renovation was a delay in completing the shower enclosure. One of the pieces of glass was cut incorrectly twice, which delayed the project finish by two months, and when it was finally cut correctly and installed, we discovered that the piece of glass on the side was too tall, so there was another two week delay for a replacement. To make up for this delay, Lisa Cosgrove gave us free labor to replace all of our bedroom and front entry closet doors, which have been broken for several years, so I was happy! My husband and I love our new bathroom and are very satisfied with the work done by this contractor. I would not hesitate to hire them again.

I had a very large job to completely renovate a highly distressed house that had been flooded. Stephen Cosgrove designed and completely rebuilt the main level and the basement. The kitchen was very cleverly designed to open up the sapce and create a breakfast nook. He designed the basement to include a family room with a walk out french doors to a patio, a study, laudnry room , new bathroom and bedroom. I only took 4 months to completly redo the house inlcuding a deck and extensive landscaping. The house is really a showpiece and all the neigbors were well impressed.

Very competent. Polite workers. Clean. Some errors that needed to be corrected, but prompt responses. Some delays in setting up needed actions. Overall, great result.

I had a complete bathroom added to my basement. The owner and workers were knowledgeable about the requirements, and were nice to work with. There was a minor communication issue with some extra work that had to be performed, but we were able to work it out. They did a great job on the bathroom, and I have not had any problems with it.

Our renovations weren't just for the basement. Besides the basement remodel, we also remodeled one bedroom to add a bathroom extending over the basement area. Other miscellaneous jobs included resurfacing the deck, adding a walkway from the side of the driveway to the back of the house, and many others.

Had a horrible experience with this contractor: he had to redo almost everything when I complained about poor work quality. Did not finish the job and left. I have leaks in the basement he built and plan to meet him in court. The contractor is good in making promises and collecting the checks. Do not hire Cosgrove & Sons!
Response from Cosgrove and Sons

I love the paint work completed by Cosgrove. It is a total upgrade of my family room, kitchen and hall way. All the rooms have vaulted ceilings so it was a work intensive and complicated job. The painters were very friendly, neat and completed the job on time. Philip Cosgrove helped me with the perfect choice of color and the various colors are merging beautifully in this open design house. I would definitely hire them again for any new paint job. Hanne
