Disappointed and frustrated and angry. Joe's product, oil based driveway sealer, did not stick to driveway, came up all winter as I shoveled. Joe guaranteed it for four years but it didn't last one winter. Joe responded to my complaint call and admitted the product failed, promising to reseal the drive at his expenses. He never returned and stopped taking my calls. Unreliable.

I HIRED THIS PRO J Costello Painting We recently contacted J Costello Painting through Home Advisor. We were looking for someone to paint our deck, a deck that has been over-painted a number of times. The deck had significant peeling and chipping. Joe Costello responded quickly and visited our home to review the project. His assessment was thorough and thoughtful; his extensive experience and input were helpful to us in making our decision. He was patient and thoroughly explained the process and materials that he would use. As expected, the prep work to get the deck ready for staining was extensive and expertly done. In the end, the price was very fair. Because the deck project went so well, once it started, we also hired J Costello Painting to refurbish our front porch, as well. The results are beyond expectation. We couldn?t be happier with the results. The staff of J Costello Painting is first rate. Great planning, great follow-through/follow-up, great execution! Guess where we?re starting with our next house painting.

They arrived on time and completed 5 driveways and parking lots that same day. Huge improvement in the way it looks and he offered a 4 year warranty on the job.

Initially reviewed this company and hired based on ratings. Perhaps they do deck painting and sealing better than they do driveways, sounded good but final product looked bad. Poor coating, did not fill cracks well, used crushed asphalt and it looks worse than the original crack fillers used previously. Overall look is shiny and strange looking. I did forward to the company the federal spec. sheet on coatings with no reply. Friend who works for Federal Agency saw the job and felt it did not meet current standards. Have not heard back from Costello since they finished the job. They did not remove barrier or their sign. I would think twice before engaging this company.

Did a good job. However, two men worked about five hours to clean and stain the deck. For this they charged me $1400.00. WAY OVER PRICED!

Arrived on time. Explained the choices. Did an excellent job. Cleaned up beautifully.

Jim Costello is one of the finest and most professional man I a hired in my life. In my life time , working for SHAPE iNC. I hired a great many outside contractors to do work for us and there NEVER ANYONE that was as courteous, and job oriented. His work ethics is outstanding and his aim is to do the job correctly and in a timely manner. My hat goes off to this fine gentle man and his company , I would recommend them to anyone.
