Joe was very professional from the start. He was always here when he said he would, he would give me a quote which was very reasonable and completed the job in a very timely matter. The entire process from start to finish took little over a week. I had kitchen counters installed as well as bathroom counter. I also needed some small handyman work, like replacing door knobs, cabinet handles etc. Very happy with the quality of work, customer service, the flexibility. Joe is definitely a person to hire!

Joe Elko gave a direct quote; outlined what problems we could run into. He talked straight which is refreshing when apprehensive about paying for upgrades. I wanted to replace the 1982 butcher block laminate but keep the sink and faucet. He came over for measurements before I had to go to work; showed samples to choose from. It was a quick and easy process. Showed up as promised with an assistant & got right to work and did an outstanding job at an incredibly reasonable price! I priced prefab laminate countertops & redid my bathroom countertop myself. The problems and costs involved to do it myself told me I needed to get someone professional for my kitchen. It was NO cost saving to do my bathroom countertop myself! Their install job was complete in less than two hours & left my kitchen better looking (& cleaner) than when they got here. :P Joe Elko's work is a top-notch install with a realistic price point. I am so thrilled with my new laminate countertops! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Joe Elko/Counter Effects Inc. AWESOME! (Counters installed 4-21-17)

Called Joe up and he immediately returned my call the same day. Setup time and day for an appointment. It took 2 week after we agreed on the cost to schedule the install since we had to special order the laminate we picked. Joe and the guys did an amazing job installing our laminate counter. They also installed the sink and the garbage disposal unit. They wipe and broom swept my kitchen once they were done. The quality of their work speaks for itself plus the guys were very polite. I would surely recommend Joe and his team for your countertop needs.

Given an estimate of job and scheduled and told how to prep home for job. Installers showed on time, explained how job would be done for best results and efficiency. Job was done in estimated time. The quality of the work and cabinets is excellent, the service was extremely professional and timely, and the cost was extraordinarily reasonable given the quality, selection, and service. In fact, it was much cheaper than the Big Box stores. Furthermore, Mr. Elko gave us ample suggestions on cost savings and made additional great recommendations for our project that had never occurred to us. His suggestions were stellar, and really helped with the budget. Counter Effects exceeded our expectations in every way. We are so grateful!

Project: Install Laminate Countertop. Joe Elko is very professional. He put in a countertop, new sink and faucet, and installed a new dishwasher. I did not have to have separate contractors. He even called me to make sure he had the exact specs on the sink I ordered. I cannot say enough positive things about my experience.
