Stone Slab Countertops Installation (Granite, Marble, Quartz, etc)
This company is horrible. The owner (Chris Walters) has apparently been ripping people off for well over a decade under multiple company names and has had to change addresses multiple times. They take deposits for jobs and then good luck even getting a response or getting them out to complete your project. Completely untrustworthy individual. The other reviews you see here and online and elsewhere are very accurate based on our experience. Avoid these people at all costs and find a reputable contractor as there are quite a few in the area.

Working with Chris from Counter Revolution on our kitchen remodel was the worst experience we have ever encountered. At the beginning he was great: professional, quick to respond and extremely knowledgeable in helping us with design choices. We are not certain what happened in his professional life, but our decision to hire him quickly became a huge regret. Our project was never completed and the part that was completed was unacceptable and sloppy. He lied to us on multiple occasions and was incredibly rude when were basically begging him to finish up and correct the mess he created. We ended up having to hire another company to complete the install. I highly recommend you DO NOT hire this company. Please take the time to read all the reviews because there are several families with our exact same story.

Counter Revolution lied time and time again about the status of the job and installation date. Counter Revolution did not show up on sight on any of the appointment dates and we had to sign another contractor at the last minute to complete our counter top project.

I hired Chris to install countertops, backsplash and re-screen hardwood floors. He did not finish the job in 3 days as promised. Excuses and problems with equipment was what I was told. The quartz countertop and backsplash looks fine but he left rings from a can on the countertop. Not sure if this will come out or not. DO NOT USE him for flooring. He rescreened my hardwoods and they look worse now than before. There are globs of finish all over, tons of debri under the finish, hair under finish and unbelieveably rough looking. When I asked him to come take a look at it he said was too far away and I better have the final payment to him by end of the day. Offered to redo the floors for an additional $250. He cussed with foul language and threatened to lien my property if I did not have final payment to him by end of day. I just wanted to resolve the issue. Will have to get another professional in to fix his screw-up. Very unprofessional.

Month worth a delays. Communications was inconsistent at best. Demolition team left a mess. Showed up wrong days. Installation was backwards. Actually forgot to do part of the job. forgot to seal the granite. Granite slab is covered with stains probably from cage. Water rings is starting to appear. Have contacted letting them know about rings and still havent completed job.

Do not let the owner of this company, Christian (Chris) Walters, into your home. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a contractor. I was quoted a 1-week turnaround from the time of cabinet installation to completion of countertop installation. 1.5 months later and it is still not done. Every time we try to set up a date for Chris to do the final touches (to simply polish a dull countertop seam) he tells you he will be there and then no call/no show. This has happened at least 6 times already in 30 days and every time I had to move things around at work to make sure I was available, which Chris was well aware of - so disrespectful. Before that, upon installation of our cabinets, he sent two guys who had no idea what they were doing - Chris had to come and redo all of their work. The cherry on top is that I finally voiced my disappointment with his business practices and pleaded for him to finish the job, and he proceeded to curse me out with every name in the book, and then threatened me with the ole remember, I know where you live. We have filed a police report and will not be asking Chris back into our home. What a terrible experience and waste of money.

Stone Slab Countertops Installation (Granite, Marble, Quartz, etc)
My husband and I had a very negative experience with Chris Walters, the owner of Counter Revolution. After showing up for only 2 hours of work on our scheduled install date, (4/12 and 4/13) he did a partial tear out of our sink and stove area, leaving the island intact. The following day, he cancelled. The day after that, he said he was short material and could not come. My husband and I were leaving the country and were extremely frustrated as this was suppose to be a 2 day job. We expressed our upset to Chris, and we agreed to reschedule for when we returned home on May 3rd and 4th. We also agreed that if he didnâ t show up, our full deposit would be refunded to us. On May 2, I text Chris to confirm he would be there the following day to which he said he would be. On May 3rd, he text us to cancel 15 min prior to when he was suppose to be there. At that time, we decided that Chris was extremely unreliable and dishonest with us and thought getting our deposit back would be the safest option. Mind you we still had a totally inoperable kitchen. Chris agreed to return our deposit via zelle that same day but never sent it. When I inquired about it, he said he wouldnà  à ¢à  à  à  à  t return any of our money until we signed a new contract stating that we could not leave him any negative reviews or report him to the contractors board. We asked Chris to please include how and when he planned on paying us in this new contract to which he would not. He then proceeded to call me and scream profanity at me when I told him we wanted our deposit back before we signed anything. As it stands, we have no kitchen, no material, and he still has our $6358 deposit. This has been one of the worst, most stressful experiences. We have since learned a lot of scary things about this company and needless to say, I do not recommend hiring them.

Unfortunately, I had a very negative experience with Counter-Revolution. I reached out to them in September of 2021 to do a countertop install for me. They had the best price, so I hired them for an install date in the first week of November 2021 (as stated in the contract Chris, the owner, provided me). I paid them the deposit, which was half of the total project cost. Chris contacted me right before the installation was supposed to happen in November to let me know the granite had not yet been delivered, so they had to push back my installation. I was bummed because Chris had made it sound like they had the granite in stock themselves and did not make me aware of any potential delays, but I was understanding because I knew the delays were out of his hands. However, after 6-7 more delays due to his staff being out sick, weather, and short staffing, I started to get frustrated because he was doing other installs in between, making me feel like he was not prioritizing my project at all, despite our contract and me already having paid for half of it. Finally, his team came to do the installation in February of the following year. They did not wear masks (or even bring any) despite Chris having been short-staffed multiple times due to his employees being out sick. I have an immunocompromised family member, so I had Chris bring his employee mask to wear, which he did. I did have to remind them to actually wear the masks, though. The installation looked fine once it was done, but the entirety of the bartop came completely unattached and fell off just hours after the installation was completed. This was hundreds of pounds of granite that came crashing down but was luckily caught by the barstools underneath it. If someone had been sitting there, bones would have been broken and we would have had to call for help to get the person out from under the stone. I specified this because Chris did not seem to realize how big of an issue this was. He did have his team come out the next day (at my request) to fix it, and I have not had any issues since. I asked Chris to reimburse me for the damaged items (wall, stools, pots), and he said he would send $150 and that it was more than fair, despite the fact that it was less than the value of the damaged items. I agreed because I was tired of hassling him for months to just get the job done, and I was ready to be done with it all. Unfortunately, it is now April of 2022, (7 months after this whole thing started), and Chris has still not sent me a check for the reimbursement, despite multiple reminders. He could have sent his team the check the day after the damage, or paid me via Venmo or PayPal, but did not do any of those things. He asked me to send him a reminder text just last week, which I did, but he still did not send the check. Today I asked him to just purchase replacement stools (the most expensive items that were damaged) since he had not been able to coordinate getting a check sent, and he told me I was extorting him. Overall, this experience has been frustrating, dangerous, and I feel Chris took advantage of me being nice and understanding as much as he could, and now that I am pushing back, he has told me I am extorting him and committing a felony, which is disappointing considering I feel like I have been more than patient with this company as a whole. I did give them one star for customer service because the team that did the installation was friendly and did comply when I asked them to wear their masks, with only one reminder needed.

Just an incredible job. Countertops and backsplash completed in one day and it is beautiful. Not only did we get it completed a month before Home Depot or Lowes could commit to but the overall project cost was significantly less. We could not be happier.

We liked the turnaround time, the price was good, the project more than met our expectations. Because the install was on a rainy day, the crew put down tarps to protect our flooring. We have the beginnings of a beautiful new kitchen, for the first time in 35+ years!

I had several companies provide quotes to replace our counter tops. The job included taking out an existing breakfast bar. The price I received from Chris was very competitive. The work he and his team did was excellent. They were all easy to work with and keep the area as neat as possible during the demolition and install. I highly recommend Counter Revolution.

They did an excellent job, with the removal of the old kitchen counters to the install of the new counters, the care they took of floors and the moving of appliances was great. Would recommend and definitely use them again!

Good quality granite for a good price. The caulking was haphazard and required me to redo some of it. This is a good company, they came on time on the appointed day. Most of the crew was capable. Compared to other suppliers their price and responsiveness was much better.

This company has excuses every time they are supposed to be at your house. The excuses are so far fetched that they are unbelievable and un-acceptable.
Response from Colorado Top Shoppe
"Unfortunately this customer had been delayed due to the unexpected weather we experienced. We advise all customers in fall, winter, and early spring that we can not deliver in snow or icy conditions. We contacted this customer well in advance if the storm, it came in later than expected so there was an additional one day delay. They did not want to wait, and demanded their deposit returned. Though their job was entirely fabricated and loaded in the truck, we still returned their entire refund immediately without question."

The finished countertops are beautiful and the installers did an excellent job. The delivery period was twice as long as promised and any communications I had with Chris were originated by me. I was not kept informed of status and he had to come back to remeasure .

There were some delays due to shipping and back ordered product, however Chris is very excellent about staying in touch and explaining things clearly and concisely. He is quick on the uptake and understands ideas and concerns. I love my new counter and sink. We do recommend Counter Revolution.
