A year ago, our company of Jason refinished our kitchen cabinets in Hillsboro, OR, and also rebuilt our kitchen island so that it would fit the new range top we were getting. Some of the work done was great! But, without telling us, Jason moved out of state before completing the following tasks: supplying interior shelf pegs for one new cabinet interior--which also required a shelf trim to make the shelf fit into the space correctly (in the end, our neighbor's table saw trimmed the shelf) and never picking up some work debris bags left in our front yard area Jason also asked for final payment before all work was actually completed. The young man who was doing most of the work said he had not been paid in a few weeks. Against my better judgment, we gave the check. But he did not actually finish my kitchen. I texted and heard nothing back. Also, do not really expect to hear back at this point. But I would love to be surprised, and I would put that in a follow-up note if it happened.

These guys wont respond to a request for warranty claim on cabinet paint that has cracked at many joints within less than a year. Their address on file with OR CCB and on their invoice is bogus as Ive tried sending certified letters to both. Im not the only one - as Ive started my complaint Ive seen two others opened. Stay away!

Jason was very helpful in guiding us to do the right thing with our kitchen cabinets. The outcome was exactly what we wanted. After getting multiple quotes, I found Jason to be the most responsive, attentive and he offered a fair price. Jack did excellent work. He was courteous throughout the week he worked in our home. Both Jason and Jack were very responsive and easy to get a hold of. I would absolutely hire them again.

This is an update to my 11/23/2020 review. After seeing my HomeAdvisor review, Jason promptly contacted me to arrange repair of my above-the-fridge cabinet. He then soon followed through and finished the work quickly and well. While I'm still concerned about how long the repair took, I appreciate his apology and have updated my ratings of his business.

Jason is extremely helpful and responds quickly. He made custom reclaimed wood shelves which matched the floors and came out so nice. Jack, did the work and I was amazed at how new and modern my kitchen cabinets and two bathroom vanities came out. Beautiful, Quality, Efficient

Competent work done on time March 2020, and Jason Cousins charged significantly less than the competition. Unfortunately, installed over-the-fridge cabinet too low on one side, promised to fix, never did. Initially was willing to cut them A LOT of slack due to COVID and then the Oregon wild fires. I contacted Mr. Cousins 10+ times over the last 8 months to arrange to fix the issue, and he cited pretty much every possible excuse, including the above, but then also multiple instances of out-of-state travel, losing the replacement doors, then travelling again, etc. Eventually scheduled 2 appointments in the last month, but he no-showed both of them. And despite my better judgment, I still gave him one more chance to fix the cabinet before posting this review, but he didn't respond to multiple additional texts and call(s). In retrospect, I should have inspected his work better before handing over the second half of his payment. He clearly had little-to-no interest in finishing the job once he had my money. Last he told me, he's closing down his Oregon operation and moving to Arizona.

"Customer and I had a miscommunication. His job was down town Portland and we finished right at the start of the COVID shutdown. He wanted two new doors and we waited till everything settled down to set a time to bring them out, I was out of town on vacation for two weeks, but when I came back , another customer and I were scheduling a service, and he had the same first name and similar phone number and I made the mistake of thinking it was this Chris, we scheduled an app for after thanksgiving. I saw this review and called Chris and we are going to take him his doors next week and he agreed to change the review. He is a good customer, and the mistake was my fault."

Our kitchen is transformed! Jason added 3 cabinets to make it more efficient, refaced the remaining ones...AND... repainted all! Fabulous job! Jack worked his tail off! We couldnâ t be happier!

Does not contact. I had to contact him most of the time. Still has not finished replacing damaged cupboards and other damage done.

"We do everything we can to take care of our customers, but she wanted Numerous things for free. We did everything in our power to make her happy. She was asking us to fix or replace things in her house that were not part of the cabinet job. She has grandkids that did damage to some of the lower cabinets. I went out once and replaced the damaged doors for free. She called me a couple months later and said the same thing happened and I refused to replace them again for free."

Painting, replacing doors and drawers were all done fast, clean and beautiful. I had to wait for 2 months because of their workload, but it was all worth it. The price was less than the quotes I got for painting the existing cabinets. Excellent job.

This company is the best! Jason and team did exactly what I wanted by painting the existing boxes, new doors and drawers. Jack the painter was the best I have ever encountered. He sealed off the kitchen to sand and paint the cabinets leaving no dust behind to the rest of the house. He paid attention to every minute detail. He is an expert at what he does. I would recommend this company to anyone needing a kitchen upgrade. The price was reasonable and fair compared to 6 other bids. I would use them again as quality of work is of the utmost important to me when choosing a contractor. They cleaned up every little detail and left no mess behind. The cabinets are beautiful and exceeded our expectations. Very professional company. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing a kitchen update. A very happy customer!!!
