Would not hire them to put 2 pieces of scrap lumber together with a nail gun! They will mess it up! Hired them the 2nd week of JULY to build me a covered deck. Was supposed to take 2-3 days. I started traveling for work and after 2 weeks they told my wife they were done. They weren't and she told them I was coming home in a couple of days. They demanded remaining payment (I paid 1/2 up front) and took it. I came home and the deck was over 1 foot shorter in height, they had used scrap lumber in several areas, the railings were uneven and unlevel, the deck boards weren't even put in correctly. The roof was resting in 1 corner on a post, not the joists. Everything was supposed to be screwed together, some was the rest was nailed badly with gaps in the wood all over the place. They didn't even line up the plywood on the roof with the joist lines! Only 2 of the post lined up and 2 had arches in them. Was told my wife said it was good, a lie, have it on tape. Was told they would fix everything, a lie. Tried to compromise to at least get things fixed, told them not to tear down and start over to make the right height (even though I could not use my ceiling fans I had wanted to install because the roof was too low). Was lied to over and over by Tommy saying that things would be fixed the next day - for 2 MONTHS! Took off work 1/2 dozen times to meet his workers - they never showed! He hired another contractor to come fix the deck boards and railings - didn't give them enough lumber. When they got to my house they fixed some of the deck and 1 railing. Tommy sent his own guys back to finish the rest. They didn't do any deck boards and screwed up the other railing. The gaps between the rails were anywhere from 5-8 1/2 inches apart, not all of the rails were the same length, and they reused old lumber that was warped! Was told by Tommy the owner that it would be fixed and I would be refunded $100 I had to pay to the electrician for cancelled appointments. Had to cancel them because Tommy's "I guarantee it will be done and done right" kept not happening. I had a drawing of the project for his guys and went over it before I left. Tommy tried to say there wasn't one. Showed it to him and where HIS guys had marked off things on it and they told him they had one! Had every excuse in the world from him. One week his guys were supposed to start Monday - they never showed. I called him several times and finally on Thursday was told they would be there Friday, it rained Friday so they didn't come. Was told that it was raining Monday that's why they didn't come - the whole week it was dry until Friday! Tommy told me he fired the guys who messed up my job. When no one showed 2 weeks later, I was told that they had gone to a funeral - the guys he had fired and replaced with new people. I asked him why he didn't come or send the new people, he told me he had hired back the guys he had fired. Really? Finally in OCTOBER he rehired the subcontractor who had fixed 1 railing

He's full of promises and excuses but he delivers nothing.

UPDATE 09/17: I was paid the final balance, but I would never recommend him.***Mr. Tommy Cox took a deposit to get my project started; no materials were delivered, no work started, I requested refund, he gave me repetitive excuses when I texted or called. Tommy gave me part of my refund, I'm still waiting on the $150.00 since I fired him on 8/27/18. Do yourself a favor DON'T HIRE HIM!!

Mr Cox took our deposit and did not deliver supplies, no show up to complete the work. Mr Cox failed to communicate with us and keep us posted as to product delivery and project start date. We constantly had to text/phone him for dates and times. The last time he stood us up, I called and he actually hung up on me. We requested a refund twice, which he refused and we have filed a Police report for theft of service. Our refund has STILL not yet been refunded even though his attorney directed him to tell us the refund would be issued 24 hours after receiving a written request for a refund. ******Use at your own risk*********

Started out OK but turned nasty when the patio deck that was built for a hot tub was not level. Sent out the same crew the next day that did a pretty good job. Now the nasty part...wanted final payment before I had a chance to inspect the project. Upon inspection I determined that there was a loose board that needed trimming and to be re-screwed. Anyway, very poor communication was the cause and his insistence on payment was borderline insane. Not recommended!

Do not hire this guy. He gets his cash up front, but will not complete project. He is a liar, keeps saying he will show up and does not. Think used car salesman... I wish I could share the photos of his shoddy work. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a contractor. Save yourself, stay away from this guy! I expect Home Advisor will be removing him soon.

Initially contracted with Tommy for the installation of new, wrought iron fence to include the removal of my old wood fence. The craftsmanship was excellent, the crews professional, courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. As a result of the excellent fence installation I engaged Tommy and his crews for the complete renovation of my upstairs bedrooms and bath. This project is currently in work and projected to be completed on time.

Had some issues but workers returned and corrected issues. Workers seemed sincere and committed to making sure I was happy.

Quality of the work was excellent. Crew was friendly, polite and diligent in their work. The job took longer than expected, should have sent a larger crew.

Our fence was completely replaced in a professional and timely manner, and it looks great!

Replaced a wood fence and gate enclosing a courtyard at the house. Quality of work was outstanding.

I found that their work was pretty good and they had good customer service.

They have an ability to do the work quick. Communication was great. I hired them to do more work.

They were professional,curteous, and fast. I will definitely use them again for any other projects I may have.
