Cox's Landscaping & Grading

This company is a scam!!! Took my money and did not do the job. I hired them through Angie. Filed a complaint, Angie was not helpful, they just removed the business from Angie. No one with Cox landscaping returns my call or text and my money has not been refunded. Never hire this guy! I can not say enough negative things about this company and the owner! Awful.

They did not complete the job and also charged me for things they did not do. They lied to me. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone.

Unprofessional, no communication, did not complete the work that was agreed upon, left areas of the yard in worse shape than before they started working. Required all money upfront and did not complete the work. Erosion from incomplete work.

He did not do what he told me he was going to do and he took the money and did not finish the job.

We hired Zeb to install French drains. We were and still are having flooding issues on our property. He told us if we paid cash he would give us a discount. We gave him $2100.00 and he said he would send us a receipt. Which he never did. He had someone else come and do the job but he did stop in at the end of the day. He told us he would be back in several weeks to add dirt to cover the drainage pipe that was installed. There was hay over the pipe. The drainage system does not work. Still am dealing with flooding. We have contacted him several times. He does not answer his phone and his mail box is full. I have left several text messages at 336-929-1149 and can see he read them but has not responded. He took our hard earned money and obviously lied about knowing how to install a French drain. I would like a refund as I now have to hire another company to fix his mess. We felt good, as he told us he was a high school drop out who started this business, and we were patronizing a local guy and his business. We were just too trusting. Home advisor did call and asked what our experience was and we shared our story and they assured us that Coxs Landscaping would contact us. We have not heard from him to date. Anyone considering hiring him, run as far away as you can. He does not know what he is doing and is not trustworthy. A hard lesson learned for us. Kathleen and Joseph R. Madison, NC

DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! He took my money. Horrible communication. Stated that he required prepayment to secure a spot on the schedule, I paid the day before he was supposed to show up. Never showed up, no text no call. I followed up with a text and was told it would be the following day. Still no show. This time his excuse was rain, it did not rain until late in the day. He did show up a few days later just to say he did not have the right lawn mower for the yard... the dumbest excuse, this is your business and you do not come prepared??!!! I have asked MULTIPLE times for refund, I now do not even get a response. This guy is a scam. I do not know how he ever got 5 stars, I guess he mowed 5 yards, got good reviews, earned peoples trust, and now just takes advantage and steals peoples money. Now I am out $60 and no one to mow the lawn. I have learned my lesson, to never trust Angi recommendations (not the first bad recommendation) or any company again. I will never prepay for a service, it is pretty sad that a few bad apples ruin it for everyone.

Professional, courteous, on time. Extremely clean work area and great quality. I would recommend them to everyone.
