Sean 's company has been doing my yard work for a few years. They mow and maintain my yard. If I need grass seed put down or sticks picked up and hauled away, they do great work. I have had them plant flowers and bushes. I highly recommend them. They never disappoint. I would highly recommend them. Fair price and great work. Dennis Masters

I wish I had read the other reviews before I hired them. It would have saved me a lot of headaches. We hired Crandall, a professional landscaper to level the yard after we had a geothermal system installed, and install a drain to help the yard shed water better. The area behind the barn had to settle where the system was installed, and we told the owner that we wanted someone who knew how to use the right equipment fr the job, to get the best possible results. We informed him that the furnace company had a skid steer get stuck in the yard and we did not want to take the chance of using equipment that could make the yard worse. The owner assured us that they knew how to use the equipment to get great results. I was surprised when they came out that they also choose to use a skid steer. The repeated trips across the yard tore up the yard, leaving a **road** across the yard of mud. When I asked about repairing the road, the owner said the mechanical rake would do the job. Needless to say, it did not. It left a level road, two to three inches lower than the rest of the yard that trapped water in the road and left us cut off from any practical way of accessing the rest of the yard. Disaster. The drain installed had significant settling, leaving a trench across the yard. The drain had area within 2 feet of drain that was graded lower, so it retained water right next to the drain. I thought this would be a fairly simple fix. Have a few guys come to do some repair. I even bought enough dirt to do the job. The owner would not even come out to see the problem or try to arrange a solution. The owner told us that 5 yards of dirt would solve the water problem behind the barn. After 42 yards we still had a problem. On top of all that they left the yard with more damage. They tore up a 400 footpath across the yard that now needs to be repaired. And they left a huge dirt area in the front yard where they dumped dirt that needs to be repaired. When the owner was informed of some of the problems they created he wanted to charge more to fix areas he destroyed. He left the job site before the work was done and ever came back. They did not even come to inspect the finished work, and did not come to see what work might be needed to fix the problems or finish the work. After more than a dozen requests to have him look at the problem, he refused to even acknowledge a problem could exist. He told us he was **unenthused**, and felt **they did nothing right**, and told us he is not moving first with wheelbarrows. When I told him my attorney suggested we needed to hire someone else to finish the work and pursue legal action against him, he thought that was a great idea, and that he is looking forward to it.

"This will be my last reply to this. (see other comment on BBB review if you would like) We have over 75 positive reviews between this site and other sites. Is this what you mean about wishing you would have read other reviews before hiring??:) feel free to take those in to consideration when potentially hiring us please. been in business 11 years. I just took the time to count, this makes a total of 5 negative reviews. One person of which admits we never even did work for him. "Instead you offer to charge me MORE?" Doesn?t sound like hes willing to pay more does it? This is a quote form customers email. The ONLY thing that is relevant here is, the customer says the job requires more dirt than was provided to complete the job. The contract HE SIGNED states there will be additional charge for additional dirt. With the attitude I was presented with, no sorry, we dont care to work for you under any circumstances sir. And if you want to get nit picky, you spent $300 on more dirt but used some for another project? So you didnt actually spend $300 more on more dirt needed to "finish" this project right? I also asked via text if it was ok to leave the seed bag FOR YOU. as you didnt want it spread right away? I got a thumbs up. you wanted to wait to spread the seed for some reason. (fresh turned dirt is best time to spread seed but I wasn?t going to argue) And again, sorry, not making a special trip back to spread seed without extra charge. Sorry you feel it turned out bad for you."

Sean is easy to work. The plants I wanted were unavailable locally so he searched and was able to find comparable shrubs from the state of Oregon. They were promptly installed when they arrived in Ohio. His crew was efficient and helpful.

Called them on the phone to let them know they forgot to cut the backyard. When I talked to sean on the phone he let me know that they did not cut the backyard because there was too much poop in the backyard. They came to cut the grass on Wednesday even though they're supposed to come every Tuesday and we had the dog poop picked up on Monday like usual. Sean was very rude on the phone when I called to try and get the cutters to come back and said that there was nothing he could do. Horrible customer service...

"1. We had 3+? of rain between Saturday and Monday. Customers are informed that is there is rain during the week before their mowing day, we may be late. I was told it is ?asinine? that we were not able to be on time after the 3? of rain. 2. Never once did customers ask for immediate return service as he was too concerned (raising his voice) with telling me how stupid it was we did not cut the back yard and were unable to be on ?normal schedule.? We had intended to tell customer we would return the following day, but the conversation didn?t make it that far before we felt it was best that we part ways with the customer. 3. This is the third or fourth time customers had been notified about excessive dog poop in the yard. Being dog lovers ourselves and knowing that dog poop is the number one way dog borne diseases are spread, we take this issue very seriously for all of our customers. 4. The very first time we cut the yard, I (the owner) was with the crew to make sure the job was done properly. I introduced myself to the woman of the house and told her we were about to get started. My employee then proceeded to enter the back yard as the woman of the house then let their dogs into the back yard. One dog immediately ran up to my employee and bit him on the leg. The customer saw this, proceeded to laugh out loud, and then call the dogs back inside. Employee now has a scar on his leg 5. This is not the way any service provided should have to be treated. TERRIBLE client service."

Closed on new house 3 weeks earlier than expected & previous homeowners left full gutters & tall grass. Didn't even own a lawnmower yet at the time so was scrambling to address my yard's issues. Called & spoke to business owner & with only 1-2 days notice, he made time to clean my gutters out personally & his crew cleaned up my lawn. They did a great job for a great value! Would definitely use again & have recommended them to my friends & clients.

I contacted Crandall's for a large quantity of landscaping and lawncare work. Sean responded immediately and was awesome to work with. His team was prompt, courteous, and did an amazing job. Wouldn't hire again. Crandall's Quality Lawn is anything but a quality service. Crandall showed up and said he performed weeding. I didn't even request his service, but he invoiced me 80.00. He said I told him to perform the work sometime in the past and I know that I didn't not request he do any more work on my property. But since it was done I thought I should pay. I was out of town at the time he invoiced me and paid without looking at the work performed. When I saw the work, I was upset as there were weeds everywhere in all beds. I called him and he said, don't worry I put round up on them. I paid for weeding and the beds were overfilled with weeds. I had to do the work myself at this point cleaning up the beds and do the work he said he performed. I wish I had waited until I saw the work before paying. I should have known better than to pay as he as performed other subpar work for me and out of kindness and not wanting to get him upset have paid him. Really... over paid him. Then he or his employee caused damage to my home. I informed him of the damage and he became hostile and said he didn't know when he would be able to fix it, I text him a picture and he was even more irate. At this point, I didn't want him back on my property for any reason. If you like to argue, have your property damaged this is the company for you. If you like quality work and get what you paid for this isn't your service. I have informed my HOA of his work performance hopefully to spare anyone else from his services.

""Damage" to property was found 3 months after work was done on property, after customer had been home several time since. We had full intention of fixing said damage, but when unable to provide an exact date of service/repair, customer terminated services and we were informed she would complete the repair. Weeding customer is speaking of was completed 3 weeks before customer returned home to inspect work. (plenty of time for more weeds to germinate) We returned (at no extra cost) and weeded beds again however. Please see other reviews for a more accurate representation of our company. References happily provided upon request."
