Horrible Company!! Don't do business with!!!!!!! On April 24, 2024, I contacted Crawford Door Systems, which installed my garage door in 2022. (they did do a good job with my initial install) I spoke with the receptionist and told her that I heard noises which I thought were coming from the motor. She indicated that the motor is covered under the manufacturer. I told her that I did not need someone to come out immediately and asked her if they ever have a job that is close to my residence, could someone listen to the motor for me and let me know if it is having issues. She stated â Oh, we have someone in the area tomorrow and I will have him drop by.â I thought that was a strange coincidence but gave it no further thought. While we were on the phone, she stated nothing about any charge or any costs they would charge me to have this person listen to the motor as they were just "Dropping by" On April 25, 2025, the technician came to my residence. He listened to the motor and stated the motor seemed fine, and that the noise was probably the springs and wheels. He proceeded to go to his vehicle and came back with a can of something in his hand. He sprayed the spring and wheel track. In addition, he gave me the can of lubrication he used and told me â You didnâ t get this from me. I could get in trouble". He walked to his vehicle and came back with a small computer pad and told me â That will be $181.48â . I was confused and asked him $181.48 for what? He stated that he performed a â Tune upâ on my garage door and that was the trip and labor cost. I told him I was never told anything about a charge or trip fee. Nor did I ask for a â Tune Upâ at any point. He called his boss on the phone to explain that no one at the office informed me of any cost. He had the phone on speaker, and I heard his boss state he is to still charge me. After he got off the phone the installer said he suggested I pay the fee and dispute it. I was afraid that if I didnâ t pay it, I would be taken to collections which was vaguely insinuatied. I went ahead and paid this FRAUDULENT charge and he left. I immediately contacted my bank and told them what had happened. The representative agreed with me that this was horrible and wrong, and I filed a dispute on the charge. This action by the company was wrongful and criminal deception intended to result in financial gain. My bank contacted them and they lied to the bank telling them that I agreed to this charge!!!!!! No on in their right mind would say "Ya come on out and charge me $181 to spray my garage spring!!! I understand that companies make money with repairs and service calls, but when they tell you there is no fee and then slam you with one, thats dishonest. Still in process with this dispute.

Weekend emergency service calls are very expensive but I guess they all are.

The mechanic Ken was very efficient and neat .He did a great job replacing a panel and tuning up the doors
