"This project was completed by the other company I referred customers to because Creative Curbz was booked out too far and we don't do a lot of work in that area anymore as it's on the outskirts of our service area. Other contractors took longer than hoped for reasons listed below. Sorry, you guys we're unhappy as we try extremely hard but between being out of our general service area, snow in October and record rains, and then COVID where it was an absolute challenge dealing with workers and other issues we gave your name to another qualified contractor who I've known for years. We would love to do every job but it's just not realistic. All in all HAPPY this customer was more than satisfied with the project that was completed for them."
"I could go on for hours about this review but won't. My company has installed 1000's of projects throughout WI, and hundreds of thousands of feet of concrete edging. With very few dissatisfied customers, but you do get some. This project was completed in a timely manner at the customer?s residence. What some people fail to realize when dealing with any concrete product is that there is no "exact" size to it as it's not manufactured in a controlled environment such as a factory. No two jobs are ever going to look exactly identical, it's a custom installation. The landscaper that I know that had worked on the project after I left thought it looked good but obviously everyone has their opinion. With this project the customer initially called me a week or so after completion talking about the excess release powder. Concrete takes at least 30-45 days to fully cure. I told them this but did look at the job a couple weeks after installation. At that time I told them that I wanted to wait until it fully cured as I knew it would look different at that time. They then called me several times about it, and I told them I'd see what I could do. After calling and consulting with several industry professionals I came up with several possible solutions. All of which would have to wait until full curing took place. Keep in mind this was just a "topical" powder, and not mixed in or throughout the concrete. So it was entirely possible to remove some of the so called excess via brushing or pressure washing. Either way I was willing to try and do anything possible to try and satisfy the customer as I never had a complaint for this particular issue. I don't recall them ever asking for a bill reduction but it's very possible. Either way they paid the bill in full telling me they'd live with it. At this time I felt that they we're satisfied with the project. It wasn't until 5 months later that I realized they weren't after reading this review. For this I'm truly sorry as in my opinion the form work on this project was first class. It's too bad that the shading that is supposed to give our product a unique look wasn't what they had expected. I feel that the problem could have been remedied or honestly a bit of time as the topical release agents tend to dissipate somewhat in time."
