Beware of this business. I had contacted Creative Homes to build a concrete patio with a pergola, a storage building, and a fence around the backyard. Ray, the owner, came and gave the estimate. We agreed and hired him. Well, he lies very well. He said he would get permits and did some work, but when we asked about permits, he responded that we did not need them. However, I knew better and did research and notified him that we did need permits. He said he would take care of it, and he did. But there was much that had to be redone because of the poor construction of everything no footings under pergola beams and buildings; buildings were directly on the ground in places. The electrical to the building was not buried deep enough, and he claimed that he did good-quality work; that is ridiculous. We had to keep texting him because the workers did not come every day to finish the job; sometimes it was weeks before they would come back, only work for half a day, then leave. Almost two years of work because of incompetence, then wanted us to pay more for the mistakes. He adjusted the invoice to owe him more money and said he could not construct the bar because I would not pay the difference for his screw-ups. He sent me a check and said he was done. So many screwups from day one: fence was angled instead of straight, gates were not aligned correctly, building on the ground, electrical wrong, concrete cracks with no footings for posts, no permits until I called him out, paint was not applied correctly and peeled off; it was so stressful and a nightmare! This man should not be in business!

Creative Home Design did some major renovation projects for my home. The workers started by removing some trees near the driveway and he also replaced about two-thirds of the driveway because of the tree roots. He and his team replaced all the damaged and rotting wood on front porch, and painted front porch. They gutted the master bathroom removed Jacuzzi and replaced it with a marble walk-in shower. Ray also installed some custom wood cabinetry for the closet in the master bedroom. They replaced all of the wooden spindles on stairs and with wrought iron spindles. His electrical contractors replaced all of the chandeliers and fans in the home. In addition, I had the workers paint the entire interior of the home, including our twenty foot ceilings. Lastly, Ray replaced about twenty eight windows in the home. Ray and his company were so great to work with and even when we changed our plan they were very accommodating. After our initial meeting he came back with drawings and a plan within about 48 hours. I would give Ray and his crew a ten out of ten if I could.

The renovation that was to last 2 to 3 months is 7 months and it hasn't passed inspection yet. We had new pipes leaking twice in the two bathrooms and a fiberboard vanity was destroyed by the water. Electrical updates failed two inspections and the wires were cut too short so all wiring goes through junction boxes. Had to insist on getting the outlet colors (white) that I had specified. Engineering letter was not filed when the permit was secured so the project failed final inspection. Lied about filing a permit to build a garage and it had never been done. We found that out on our own. Had to constantly check work. Two new windows would not open and had to be corrected. Wood around the fireplace was too close and I had to print the firecode guidelines to get it corrected and moved back from the firebox, cabinet doors above each other were a different width and had to be redone, undercounter lighting that was suppose to be installed was battery operated puck lights (I went and bought my own electric lights with a switch), vapor barrier was half-way installed and did not cover the crawlspace (we had it removed and done by another company), we had to beg to get our warranty documents for our new appliances, both myself and my husband were insulted by the owner of the company. We fired him and have another company building our garage. A nerve wracking experience requiring constant checking to get the job done right.

"In my 40 years of doing this work I have never worked for so-called Christian people that complained and lie as much as these people, mainly the wife. From day one we had to change EVERYTHING 2 and some 3 times because of changed mind, she thinks she knows what she wants but knows nothing. All permits were proper and the garage plans were changed 3 times, that's the reason for no permit. 41 can lights changed to 11, custom cabinets changed after installed, light locations changed, flooring changed after received, fireplace wood finish changed, they can say what they want, my guys did not want to continue to work for them. It passed inspection"

Bathroom Remodel
The 4 week job, that they started early to get a jump on it, took 4 MONTHS. Numerous mistakes, matching light outlets at different levels, HVAC vents not hooked up, vanity sticking out 8" into closet doorway, door jam not set level, another wall not square, wrong fixtures, shower floor drain the highest point in the shower. Could never get a straight answer - promise anything but not deliver. Pull guys off the job to work on another project. 4 months without a master bedroom, bathroom and closet.

"This customer complained from the first day He has a personality that would complain no matter who did the work. If 25 people visited his home and saw his bath your mouth would drop in awe. It could be in a magazine. Everything was completed to perfection, go look for yourself if you could. He had a leak in his wall he accused us for and later found it was a screw he or someone else put through a drain pipe in the wall, Look at his picture file you decide I can give anyone 25 references of jobs from $10 to $100,000 that will testify no complaints.
