They took my money and never started my project! They went out of business. So sad because I trusted Home Advisor.

Not a good experience at all. My Wife and I are both disabled and have been saving awhile to remodel our Master bath and Guest bath to make our life a little easier. We had picked CIS because they had displays and samples at one location. My wife has a very hard time getting around so a one stop shop was important to us. We met with Hiram on 4/14/2015 and signed a contract to have them both remodeled. We were told we needed to put down their customary 70%. We put down $15,000. I thought work was to start the next week. With very little communication from Hiram or anybody for that matter trying to find out a start date or get a schedule. We did finally get a schedule to start 5/21/2015. We met with Hiram 5/11/2015 to pick out stone tops and were told possibly 5/18/2015 for a start date. We were so excited to finally get this started. Well just 3 days, thats 3 days 5/14/2015 later the schedule on Builders Trend (their online program) was gone. I couldnt reach anybody. Saturday 5/16/2015 I got an email from Richard Knudson the owner saying the IRS had seized CIS accounts and Account Receivables and had no choice but to stop work and there was no foreseeable way to recover from this and keep CIS open. They had to of known this was coming back in the middle of April when we signed the contract and they were happy to take my money. The IRS doesnt just show up one day and close you down. I have seen that others are in the same predicament. I took a ride over to the CIS office on Washington this morning 5/20/2015 the office of course is closed and dark. The samples and displays look like they are still set up on the inside. I dont know if this is good or bad that they have not been removed. This is terrible to be taken advantage of like this. This is devastating to us I just hope we can get our $15000.00 back. Good Luck To Others

From the start, we were very impressed with the company, after we signed on, 2 of the 3 people we dealt with left the company. The overall management, communication, professionalism was not there. Our project was supposed to be done in 2 weeks, we are at 5 1/2 weeks in and the company has shut their doors with no communication or our bills paid. Companies are calling that have not been paid. Richard Knudson, the owner, should be ashamed of the kind of business he WAS running.

Kitchen - Remodel
$32,000
I hired Creative Solutions for a kitchen renovation: new cupboards, floor, counter tops - the works. My overall experience was quite bad and I regret hiring the company. Many of the employees I met were very nice and professional, but as the problems began to add up, that wasn't enough. Here were some of the problems: •The job ended up costing 50% more than the original quote. Yes, I did select an upgrade, but 50% is still a huge difference. •The team they sent to do the work was new to their company and made some severe mistakes. There was definitely not enough supervision. At one point one of the workers took off on vacation out of the country while another went out of state. I was left with my kitchen torn up and many days without any work being done. •The list of mistakes made is rather long, here are some highlights: -a cabinet hung without being anchored to the wall properly, the same with the microwave, which almost fell. -the flooring not finished under the appliances -my brand new oven dented -one of the carpets cut in the wrong spot so that the seam where they tried to fix it was very obvious -ceiling lights installed in the wrong spot -the cabinets were hung wrong, so that they had to be taken down and re-mounted TWICE -Numerous, random holes drilled into the back of the cupboards -Bad paint job, grouting smeared across new countertop that had to be scraped off with a razor blade. -Paint sprayed across the new flooring in multiple spots The company did state multiple times that they wanted us to be happy and would fix the problems (the original crew was apparently fired after the mistakes became known). However, the person in charge of scheduling the fixes was not helpful and many of the repairs ended up making things better, but not as good as if it had been done right. And the repairs dragged on for weeks with little communication. The new floor tile got scratched where they tried to get the paint off, the carpet seam looks better, but is still visible, etc. So, overall I spent far more than expected but the end results were not the quality I was sold.

I spent close to $100,000 with Creative Interior Solutions for a brand new kitchen. It took them 9 months to complete the kitchen with one particular cupboard door taking 3 months. We spoke with the manufacturer and it should only take 15 days at the most! We needed more work doing to the kitchen due to damage (NOT their fault) and of course we would pay but they have totally ignored our requests for help. Nothing!!! I bitterly regret using these people as they really don't give a damn! They also wanted to charge me $850 for a floating shelf which we purchased from Lowes in the end for $47. I have practically begged for them to help us and they won't. Terrible, terrible customer service. After spending all that money you would think I would get better service - apparently not.

Worst company I have ever worked with. Our designer quit before the job was finished. The tile guy they used was not licensed. His work was shoddy and inferior with uneven edges, many places had to be regrouted as he never put any grout the first time, pour grout installation as it has been 6 months and all grout has turned yellow and is cracking and popping out. He left town overnight never to be heard from again. Also, during the job he had many so called (sick) days which put off the entire process. The plastic seal on the shower door is torn off, the shower head was installed too high, very low water pressure. Plumbing installed for shower was done incorrectly, I was told it was my hot water tank. Had to call out a company to inspect only to be told it is working perfectly. It was the installation which bypassed the hot water so it only came out cold. We had to leave the house to shower for 3 days. The tub faucets were installed poorly they don't turn off just spin all the way around, the counter top marble was inferior with fine line scratches on the top, (clearly an inferior piece of marble) the tile on the floor was not cut correctly on the edges and I have small cuts all around with uneven tile lines everywhere, the grout was also inferior product or not mixed properly it should be white and is yellow in many areas, Can hardly turn the handle to turn the shower on and the way it was installed, the shower wand does not get warm when the shower is turned on, you have to wait for the warm water while the icy water sprays on you. Carpet has pulled away from floor tile, had two carpet companies come out to stretch it. When this was done one tile cracked in the entry and was left that way. During demo walk in clothes closet was not secured and all the plaster powder got into the closet and onto EVERY piece of clothing, every shoe, belt and every purse. EVERYTHING had to be dry cleaned. I had to take it all and pick it up. They had to call a emergency cleaning company to go through the entire closet and remove everything wipe off and replace items back, My outside wall where the tile cutting took place was covered in backwash from the spray of the machine, the garage was also covered in plaster powder. The carpet protector plastic had to be replaced several times. I had to tell them to do this as they did not notice it was torn. Seriously the worst contractor I have ever dealt with. Think twice before using this company. They come off as competent and responsible but they are not.

Quick quality work performed. Listened to needs and adapted as quickly as city would allow. Project Manager stayed in regular communication thru job completion. Only issue was toilet lid was not provided in toilet addition.

Creative Interior Solutions (CIS) recently completed a remodel and casita (pool guest house) project on our new home / property. They provided excellent service and commitment to completing the job in a timely and professional manner. Skillfully guiding and supporting us through every aspect of the project. CIS general manager, Aaron Dockstader, was wonderful to work with! He pushed every phase of the job in a consistently, well organized manner; proving to have a keen eye for detail, strong dependability, and exceptional project management skills.

We are very pleased with our remodeled master bathroom and partial remodel of our 2nd bathroom. They always insured the work was done to their exacting standards. Their Project Manager dropped by at least once a week to inspect the work being done, and was consistently on top of any problems or scheduling conflict that arose. They worked around our schedule when needed. As this project took longer than expected, they were willing to give us a cost reduction. At the end of the day, we are very pleased with the work!

The project took much longer than estimated, largely driven by poor project management. People reassigned without notice. Very poor communication to the homeowner. Individually, Alex the tile guy and Pedro the painter were exemplary.
