Chris came out and gave me a great estimate and said his team could start ASAP which was valuable to me. Chris and his staff came out to my new property and performed the work with quality & efficiency. I also added a 4 more trees and 4 more stumps to be grounded. He didn’t up charge me beyond a reasonable amount. It took 3 days and I’m happier than ever! Thanks Cricket Cuts!!

First of all, let me say I hired Chris Ricketson of Cricket Cuts to trim some trees for me. We set a time, agreed on a price, and he came out and did the work. He trimmed the trees on Oct 11, 2018, just fine but in the process, a large limb fell on our vinyl fence and broke the top railing on 2 sections. He went to Lowes to get some replacements which were the wrong type. He was leaving the next day to go to the panhandle to work during the hurricane recovery and he asked if I could wait 2 weeks for him to get back and he would repair the fence. He asked and I provided the name of the fence company so he could contact them to get the correct pieces. I texted Chris on 10/29/18 and again on 11/16/18 to ask him when he would be by. I have also called and left messages on 11/6/18, 11/16/18, 11/26/18, and 12/4/18. As of today 12/5/18, I have not had a response and the fence is still in need of repair. As I said the tree trimming itself was acceptable but the follow up to repair the damage caused is, to say the least nonexistent. Follow-up 1/25/19 Wanted to update my review. I spoke with Chris finally on 1/8 and he assured me it would be taken care of by 1/10/19. I called him on 1/23 as the fence was still not repaired. He told me he would get back with me later that day to say if he found the parts needed or would send me a text with tracking info to show it had been ordered and the fence would be repaired by 1/25/19. As you can imagine the fence is still not repaired, and I have not heard from him. Final update 1/29/19. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau on 1/25/19. I was contacted by Chris on 1/29/19 to say he was picking up the fence railings and would be out today to install them. This he did so at last after 3 months our fence has been repaired.

We wanted to remove one large and one small tree from our yard. We received estimates from a large established company and from Cricket Cuts. Cricket cuts was 2/3 the cost. They are a small, new company. Because of the solid 5 start ratings from Home Advisor we decided to give them a shot. We are very glad we did! The work was excellent and working with them was easy and pleasant. in addition to taking down the trees, we asked them to trim a palm tree and they did a great job with that too. Without question, we will go back to them again if we need those services again and we will recommend them to any friends who ask.
