Cross Country Movers

Don't hire these people. The estimate they give you will be a low ball to get your business. when they pick you furniture up your final cost will be almost double. Delivery was delay by weeks. When the furniture finally arrived it was damaged, missing boxes, Tvs don't power on. They tried delivering other families furniture and when we told them it was not ours they did not want to put it back on the truck. Buyer be ware.

Unfortunately James at Cross Country Movers significantly misrepresents his business model. His company hires so many sub-contractors that no one knows what the others are doing, and they intentionally low ball their bid and cost to you so that you will hire them. The movers did not arrive on the date they were contracted, nor were my items delivered in a timely manner. The movers that arrived to pick up my items were from J&R Moving Service and after Omar (Reginald) loaded the items on the truck, he doubled the price I was quoted and stated that I would never see my items again unless I paid. He also didnâ t partial pack the items I had paid to be partially packed, and I was not refunded the cost of this additional service that I did not receive. The men actually loading the items were found via ads on Craigâ s list and didnâ t actually work for J&R Moving Service or Cross Country movers. Omar refused to provide me with a copy of the invoice, however thankfully I took pictures. It took repeated calls to obtain delivery of my items, which occurred from yet another company, Caesar Van Lines who hired day laborers to deliver my items. Since this was yet another company that was subcontracted, they did not deliver all of my items, which had apparently been taken to a warehouse in Georgia managed by Omar. My items were in two units and Giovanni only informed Ayal that my items were in one locker. When I informed Ayal that items were missing he stated that I had no proof until I showed him the pictures of my invoice and inventory tracker. Omar was contacted and confirmed my items were in the warehouse, however it took multiple phone calls and over a month for them to be received after the initial delivery. The second delivery was provided by, yet another sub contracted company who also hired labor on Craigâ s list to deliver my items. Prior to the second delivery I was contacted via phone by Omar requesting additional funds otherwise they would not deliver my items. I would never want anyone to experience what I endured during this move as this process span over three months with them and was the worse move Iâ ve had, and I have moved multiple times.

These guys did a great job on our recent move. The booking process was easy over the web phone and the team on the day were punctual, personable and did exactly what was promised. Efficient service and a pleasure to deal with, no issues and no hassles, would definitely use again and no hesitation in recommending them!

Hired Cross country movers to move me from Lithia Springs Georgia to Overland Park, Kansas. The bill for moving me across country was supposed to be $5104.25, but they charged my credit card almost 8000 dollars. They came to my home with a man who was inebriated. When I called to complain Omar said , At least he works. MY belonging have never made it to Kansas, and as far as I know is in Decatur Georgia .They are now holding my belongings and not letting me pick them up.

Everyone was on time efficient and professional. The whole team made our long distance move as smooth and easy as possible. We had our floors recently refinished and they were extremely careful not to drag anything across the floors etc. They also laid down mats at the entrance and main hallways to help keep the floors looking new.

Excellent service nice guys and very efficient. Good price and no damage because they wrap everything. Better than the competitors who damaged my stuff.
