Elliot from Crosstown Engineering? who inspected my foundation was excellent. He was professional, friendly, and took the time to clearly explain his findings in a way that was easy to understand. I appreciated that he thoroughly evaluated the situation and provided honest recommendations without any pressure. His knowledge and willingness to answer my questions gave me confidence in the inspection process. I would highly recommend Crosstown Engineering to anyone needing a foundation evaluation

I thought that for the price, I would get an engineer - I did not. The report that I received was mostly boiler-plate. I asked for a return call from the technician for a question - it did not happen. And the final piece that put me over the edge - I asked for a printed report due to some printer issues - they asked for another $10..................wow.

The engineer started the inspection as scheduled. He explained the issue and also provided a little education on the various types of piers that can be used to support the foundation. The report we received was very detailed and will be useful when the foundation experts come to fix the foundation.

I have given your structural report to my realtor but was not taken well. It appears that your report killed my contract with my buyer. In your report you said that: "The gutter system is inadequate and needs improvement". There is no improvement needed because there isn't one. So, you recommend installing system with downspouts extension. This home has not moved in forty years and now it needs gutters. Where did you guys come up with that. Not all homes need gutters. Do you work for the gutter companies? Do you want to also point out the disadvantages of having a gutter that needs cleaning, maintenance and ponding at the end of the downspout extension? How about snow and ice buildup that can leach back into the soffit or attic? Homes do not always need gutters. What they need is a watering and drainage program to maintain the foundation. What about French drains, bed of gravel to catch roof run off or a host of other methods to direct water away from the foundation.

I had reviewed Adam's qualifications after he was recommended to me by a friend in the construction business. Was impressed. He was punctual and was able to quickly understand the issues we have at our house and write a very professional report. Would gladly recommend him to our friends.

To start off the reception clerks are extremely rude, condescending, and abrupt. They definitely need to brush up their customer service skills. The inspection was conducted by an underling who basically just took elevation readings around the house and walked away within 28 minutes. This process according to them was supposed to take an hour and a half. They are now trying to make me pay for a report which they have not even given me. Utterly unprofessional, inept and would definitely not recommend this company.

Actually I hired Crosstown Engineering to do a home inspection of a potential property buy. The company quickly responded to my email request and was able to quickly come out to the property. Daniel, my inspector, was prompt, knowledgeable and thorough. I received my inspection report that evening. Overall I am very satisfied.

The engineer was able to start earlier than the scheduled time which was great since it was during my lunch time. He explained the issue and also provided a little education on the various types of piers that can be used to support the foundation. The report we received was very detailed and will be useful when the foundation experts come to fix the foundation.

Excellent experience. The team did a great job communicating via text, phone and email. We had an issue with no one being at the house when they arrived and Lee did a great job finding a solution. Cannot say enough good things about the job they did.
